MIST POV

I kissed him... I kissed him... I was kissing him. I slowly pulled away from his lips and rested my head onto his chest, his heart beat was accelerating. Did Sly like the kiss as much as I did? Did he feel the same way towards me? No, no surely he couldn't. He's a human. He would never love a hybrid lab rat such as myself. Besides... he barely knew anything about me. For all he knew I could've been using him. But even so... what was this feeling that was flowing through me? It was... gentle. Dare I say it... I had fallen for a human.

The next morning, I woke up to find myself in Sly's arms laying in his bed. I quickly looked down at myself to check if I had been stripped. To my relief, I was still clothed minus the fact I was shirtless. But that was normal for me when it came to sleep. I looked up at the man who was holding me. I blushed a light shade of red when I saw he was shirtless also. His chest and abdominals were worked to perfection. I slowly and lightly ran one of my hands down his body. His pale skin was soft to the touch. So smooth, his abdominals seemed to be a sensitive area. As I traced them with my fingers lightly, he body shivered slightly and pulled me closer to him making me blush more. But I had to wonder, had something happened the night before that I could not recall? Then that's when it hit my memory. I KISSED HIM! I groaned at first but then I realised. Sly must've liked the kiss to some extent, I mean, I was in his arms after all in his room. As much as I loved this, I knew I had to leave him, as I was a danger to him. If I were to be caught, who knew what would happened to Sly or Chris for that matter if they were seen with me. I didn't want anything to happen to them. Especially Sly. I got up, grabbed my things and left the only friends I had out here. But as I reached the tree line of the woods, I was hit on the head and hit the ground unconscious.

SLY POV

I groaned as I rolled over in bed. I had a pounding headache. How many drinks did I have the night before? Ugh most of the party was a blue in my mind. But there was one thing I seemed to remember the most. The warm, soft touch of someone's lips on mine. What the hell happened? I've never drunk kissed someone before. Who was it that I kissed? I laid back in my bed desperately trying to remember their face. I stared blankly at the ceiling for about ten minutes before I closed my eyes trying to think. Then it hit me. Mist and I kissed. I face palmed so hard. What was I thinking? That's when more memories came to my mind. He told me who he was and where it was he was from. I quickly got myself out of bed and went to the spare room were Mist must've went as my last memory was him coming to my room. I opened the door in shock to find Mist and his belongings were gone.

I ran out to the living room in a state of destress. I found Chris, Mitch, Lilac and Alex sitting on the sofa talking and having coffee and tea. Chris looked over at me and immediately knew something was wrong. He got up and ran right over.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Mist. He's gone."

"He's what?!"

With that said, we all got changed into more suitable winter wear and began searching for Mist. I was worried, scared even. What if he had been captured by those scientists again? Did he leave cause of the party? Did he leave because of the kiss? So many questions and so little time to figure them out. I had to find Mist, I wanted to find him. I needed to know he was safe. But I didn't know where to look. I stayed around the few blocks near the house, the boys searched the town as Lilac and Alex stayed home in case he returned.

I walked around in the snow freezing. The cold air was beginning to get to me as it hurt to breathe in the cold, crisp air of winter. I had been searching for an hour when I received a text from Alex saying to come home. I sighed in defeat knowing she meant get home before I freeze to death. I simply obeyed and went back home meeting up with the others. No one had any luck what so ever. Not even a clue to where he could've gone. That's when we heard the window smash.

"What the hell?!"

I looked over to see a metal ball roll over to my feet. As it hit my feet, it opened and released a gas into the room. I held my breath to not breathe in whatever the gas was.

"I... I feel sleepy..."

I looked over to see Chris hit the ground asleep, and slowly the others fell with him. It was a sleep inducing gas. I heard the door opening so I hid in my room and took in a deep breath when I closed the door. I couldn't hold my breath anymore. But I couldn't leave my friends and family out there. I took another deep breath holding it in and opened the door. But when I did, I was grabbed from behind. Someone had snuck in my window. I struggled against them but they kept me pinned and held a damp cloth to my nose. I slowly stopped struggling beginning to feel weak and sleepy. As my vision began to blur I saw people picking up the others, and a man in a white coat walk in the door. But before I could muster the strength to speak, I fell limp in my attackers grip.
