1. Two Weeks Gone

-Levy-

"Finally, a nice day out," I sighed happily, walking about Magnolia. "It seems like forever since I've seen the sun,"

I walked down the sidewalk, with a little bit of a skip in my step, hearing the faint breeze blow around the town. I felt my usual orange dress ruffle around my legs and my hair blowing back over my shoulders.

I smiled as I saw all the happy people going about the town. It seemed like there was more people in town then usual.

"Levy?"

I turned around and saw Jet and Droy walking over to me waving.

"Hey Jet, hey Droy! What're you guys doing?" I asked.

"We were actually out looking for you," Jet said, a light blush appearing on his cheeks.

I smiled sweetly. "You were?"

Droy nodded. "We were wondering if you wanted to go on a job with us! We found a really good one to, it should take at least two weeks to get there, complete the job, and get back."

I frowned. "I'd love to guys, but two weeks? That's just way to long,"

"Levy! Please?" Jet said, him and Droy giving me the pleading puppy eyes.

I huffed. "Sorry guys, I have plans with Lu-chan and some of the other girls this week. Besides, that book I've been waiting for should be coming in tomorrow! You can go with out me though,"

"But it won't be as fun!" Droy protested. "We haven't all gone out on a mission together in almost forever!"

"Yeah Levy, you're always doing something," Jet said quietly, putting a hand on my shoulder gently. "Are you okay? It has only been a month since-"

"I'm fine," I snapped, shaking Jets hand off of me. "Just go for the two weeks,"

A pained expression flashed across his face. He nodded. "Alright, but are you sure you're alright?"

"I said I'm fine," I said quietly, looking at the ground.

Droy wrapped his arms around my shoulders and pulling me into a warm hug. "We'll be back as soon as we're done!"

I laughed, patting him on the back. "I hope!"

Droy let go, standing back next to Jet whose cheeks were dusted a light pink.

I opened my arms up, turning to Jet. "Aren't you gonna give me a hug? You are leaving for two weeks!"

He sighed, smiling and wrapping his arms around my shoulders and burying his face into the crook of my neck. "I'll miss you," he whispered next to my ear softly.

I smiled, giving his back a pat. "I'll miss you to! Why wouldn't I? We're best friends!"

I felt his shoulder sag as he pulled away from the hug and stood back where he was before. "Yeah," he muttered. "Friends,"

I frowned. "Hey, is something wrong?"

He shook his head. "No, I'm fine. Well, we'll see you soon I guess,"

I smiled, nodding. "If you see a good book down there get for me! You know the drill!"

Droy laughed. "Yeah yeah, buy the book, keep it in perfect condition and you'll pay us back. We've done it many times before you know!"

I grinned. "I know, that's why I trust you!"

Jet weakly smiled. "Yeah, thanks Levy,"

"No problem! I've gotta go though, I'll see you guys soon!" I said, waving behind me as I continued to walk down the street.
