Alice's P.O.V
I park my car in the parking lot of a diner. I sigh in relief when I realize that the diner was just one block away from my new apartment. Yes you heard right I'm new in this place. I don't really mind being the new person here because I wanted no one to know me for reasons I don't want to tell right now.
I sigh again and went out of my car to go to the diner but before going inside I look around and take in the sight of the place. It's just a small town with little population of people and everywhere you look you can see the woods and I thought that it was really beautiful specially with trees everywhere. After admiring the the town I went inside the diner to eat and as soon as I entered I was immediately greeted by a waitress.
"Good morning ma'am.. table for one?"
"Yes please but can i seat in the counter table?" I told her. She give me a questioning look like asking me if i was sure.. but she shrug it off and lead me to where i want to seat.
As soon as I sat on the counter table I immediately ordered a cheeseburger and fries and for drinks I ordered iced tea. While I was waiting for my order one of the waitress in the counter talked to me. She was an old woman maybe around forty. And I looking at her I know she's a good person she kind of remind me of my grandma well a younger version of her I guess since the person standing here is much younger.
"Hi there" she greeted
"Hello" I greeted back and smiled at her.
"You're new here aren't you?"
"I guess I am but how did you know that I'm new?"
"Well maybe because I never seen your face around here"
Oh? i silently think and raise my eyebrows. She probably notice and she continued to talk.
"Yes dear but can you tell me your name? Mines Sarah" she stick out her hands for a shake.
Nice to meet you Sarah" and I shake his hands "I'm Alice. Alice Reed"
"Nice to meet you to dear. But what made you move into this small town?"
"Well I just like some new scenery for a change" I lied.
Sarah raises her eyebrows not believing me but she didn't question me either. She just said to me "well Good luck living here dear and I hope you'd enjoy studying at school seeing that your a student am I right?"
"Actually yes I am going to be studying at the nearby school here and I really hope it would turn up okay for me tomorrow"
Sarah give me a warm smile and said "don't worry dear I know you'll have a good time there. And I hope you'd make friend with my nephew his a nice person"
I smiled at her and thank her for talking to me and comforting me. And then right in time my order came and I eat the laid down food in front of me. When I Was done I said my goodbyes to Sarah and told her I'd be back again to eat.
Once I was outside I smile and thought to myself that it wasn't that bad living here and I already made a friend in my first day of moving. Thinking that I hopped in my car and started the engine to go back to my apartment.
This place is now my 'NEW HOME'
