How could one go from one being to another

Light slowly falls to the ground in complete silence
RYUK: I believe this is my que to tell you how you are what you are partner
Ryuks grabs an apple from his pocket and eats it
RYUK: it's been 10 years since I've had an apple from the human world and your whining beacause you're a shinigami
Light looks up and gives ryuk the death stare
RYUK: you should see your self your new look suits your personality perfectly and you still have good hair
Now that I've mentioned personality i should tell you the story...
9 years ago you were in the MU and I was back in the realm for about 6 months God I was bored out of my mind so I went to the shinigami king and told him about the infamous Kira and well he was pretty interested in your story.
Then I brought up the fact that shinigamis are starting to kill themselves for humans,First jealous then Rem and well I gave him the idea of bringing you back as a shinigami...
LIGHT: you killed me just to bring me back to life?
RYUK: No,I got boreder then usual that's why ... anyways I told him how good you were with the notebook and how you had absolutely no feelings so with Little bit of this and that He brought you back as a shinigami
Lights face slowly started to calm down it was obvious that he was starting to think about the situation he was in
LIGHT: A shinigami huh? Maybe it's not so bad after all,I am a God aren't I?
RYUK: you're a shinigami, A SHINIGAMI is a GOD of death... I didint know bringing you back would make you dumb
LIGHT: shut up Ryuk...
After a few minutes of silence light mumbles something
RYUK: what? I got carried away thinking about apples from the hhhuuman world
Light starts laughing slowly then he laughs harder and harder by the second
LIGHT: You thought you could beat me didint you?
Ryuk face shifts his eyes redder then ever his smile wider then ever
RYUK: INTERESTING...
From a distances a few shinigami figures appear both light and Ryuk loook over to them,they fly over the shinigamis start staring at Ryuk and light immediately knows that they have something on their mind that they wanna tell Ryuk
LIGHT: how about you say whatever is on your mind out loud I am a shinigami after all I'm no different
The shinigamis look over to light.. one of the shinigamis known as sidoh goes upfront and crouches down
SIDOH: do youuuuu gamble?
LIGHT: I have far more important things to do then gamble with you!
SIDOH: well looks like he's no fun let's get back to our little game
The shinigamis start walking away light notices that one particular shinigami keeps staring at light until the others grab her
Who is that? Why was she staring at me? Why does that shinigami seem so familiar
LIGHT: that one in the red on the far right.. what's her name?
RYUK: mhhhh I don't know,why you getting butterflies in your stomach?
Light looks at ryuk with no facial expression
LIGHT: very funny Ryuk, I was just asking cause she was staring at me staring right into my soul
RYUK: I'm not you're slave you've got your own pair of legs and wings go up to her and ask her
LIGHT: I forgot how much pain in the ass you were why cant you be more like Rem
RYUK: 1.you are not a human rem had feelings for a human 2. Rem is dead I'm still here I believe my way is the better way
Light looks over to ryuk and sees that ryuk seems oddly happy which is very rare cause the only thing that makes him that happy are apples and video games,specifically Mario cart
LIGHT: what's making you smile like that?why keep it to yourself when you can tell your "partner"
RYUK: well light you have been very helpful to me you entertained me for 4 years and well your re-birth got me another death note
Ryuk gets up and immediately his eyes turn red
RYUK: now I have 2 extra death notes to play with
