"Big brother!?" Little Zane yelled as he ran threw the snow, he had lost track of his brother in their heated snow ball fight "big brother this isn't funny!" He yelled threw his scarf, he hated wearing scarves and masks. He disliked the feeling of hiding his face, it made him feel like he was allways hiding who he was. His mom allways did tell him to embrace his freckles and never hide them. He pulled down his scarf deciding that it wasn't worth the brain power to keep it on. He cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled at the top of his lungs "GARROTH!" No one replied, he brushed his hair outs of his icey blue eyes and made a mental note that he need to get his hair cut.
He walked around a snow bank when he heard the soft sound of Garroths annoying giggle
"Found you" he whispered to himself as he bent down and made a decent sized snowball in his hands. He readied himself for his surprise attack when he heard the worst battle cry he had ever heard causing him to stumble forward dropping the snowball and grabbing his ears. He quickly turned around and found his brother standing where he just was.
"Any last words?" He asked and whiteout giving him any time to awnser he chucked the snowball straight at his face. It hit Zane directly in the eye, before Garroth relished his mistake his clumsy brother had tripped backwards with the force of the impact and was lying on the ground. Not. Moving.
"nonononono" he muttered to himself as he ran to his baby brother. He's was laying in a pool of red snow
"Zane!" Garroth reached down and lifted his little brother into his lap he was shivering and had somehow managed to cut his lip open, his jet black hair covered his eyes and he just layed there, not moving,
Garroth looked around for a way to get his mom or dad for help but he found nothing. He didn't whant to leave his brother here. All alone in the middle of winter, bleeding, freezing, and knocked out
Garroth looked back down at Zane, then he saw it. Right next to them was the snow ball he threw, it didn't break. It wasn't scaterd in the snow, it was there, covered in blood. It hit him like a rock. To the face.
A faint "oh no" escaped his mouth as he relished what he had done. He had been holding the snow ball for so long it had turned to ice in his hands, turning it into a pointy ball of death
He switched into big brother mode and heaved his little brother up into his arms and ran, he ran faster than he had ever ran. He ran back to the house, back to his parents, back to the warmth
He
Had
Hurt
Zane
That's all he could think as he handed Zane off to his frightend parents. Not long after the ambulance arrived
The next day they got the news
Zane was now blind in one eye
He had gotten stitches on his lip (probably gonna leave a pretty cool scar) and he had gotten a few stitches around his eye
Let's just say zanes and Garroths relationship was never that close after that
