6 months later
DiamondThe tree branches scraped across her face, leaving deep gashes splattered on her cheeks.
Next time, give me the right information, I know you like messing with me, but you could get us killed.
Oh, but I have lots of faith in you! And it's so much more fun this way!
Diamond sighed at the voices' response, why were they like this?
In her distraction, a sudden blur of brown hit her straight in the face, causing her to fall on her back. An angry growl erupted behind her, she had no time to waste. Trying her best to get up, she was interrupted, being thrown against a tree by the ebony haze.
"Fuck!"
The thing started to advance slowly, a groan escaping her lips. Grasping her syringe gun, which lay beside her, she loaded it with a deadly serum. After a few moments, Diamond's vision cleared and she could see it a few feet away, reaching for her. In a flash (😎), she fired, her aim deadly. A deafening thud sounded as the creature fell. Diamond caressed her head, the pain spearing her brain.
Crack
She whipped her head around, examining the forest before her, but no one was in sight. Then, unexpectedly, a strange man stood before her and a flash blinded her vision, soon everything went dark.
Few hours later
Slowly, Diamond came to consciousness, a throbbing disturbing her head, causing her to not comprehend what was being said for a second.
Quickly her ears cleared, hearing a familiar voice, "Stein? What the hell are you doing here?"
"I'm as ignorant as you, for once."
"Where are we?" someone asked.
"Why don't you ask the dude who knocked us out and kidnapped us? British dude with a flashy thing? Ring any bells?" a young black man spoke.
"The name's Rip Hunter. I'm from East London. Oh, and the future." a man in a brown trench coat introduced.
As Diamond stood up she could see a few familiar faces, "I've heard of you, you're why I am how I am."
"Er, yes," he responded shortly.
This should be interesting...
-the voices seemed to be grinning.Mick reached for his gun, "Nice to meet you, Rip."
"Uh, while you were incapacitated, I may have tampered with your weapons." Rip addressed him, then continued, "I've assembled you all because I need your help. The future of the world is in peril because of a man named Vandal Savage."
"That can't be. We destroyed him." a male in some kind of Egyptian outfit denied.
"Yeah, the Green Arrow and the Flash helped us do it." his female counterpart affirmed.
"And therein lay the problem. Unless you or Mr. Hall deliver the death blow, Savage can be restored from but a single cell." Hunter explained.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Mick looked at each of them like they were nuts.
"Vandal is immortal. Kendra and I reincarnate." Hall answered.
A blonde nodded, "Yeah, I've done that."
"And what the hell does this Randall guy got to do with us?" Mick questioned angrily.
"Vandal. In the future, he will employ the evil he's perfected over his long life, and the power he's amassed throughout history, to finally conquer the world. I've been tasked with assembling an elite team to stop him." Rip spelled out, pacing in front of them.
"How?" the blonde cocked her head.
"To travel through time. To capture Vandal Savage before he grows into the monster he becomes." the British man replied, raising his arm.
"You got the wrong guy. 'Hero' ain't on my resume." Snart started to walk away.
"Or mine," Mick followed.
Diamond couldn't hold back a laugh, causing Leonard to turn around, "You're joking, right?" no more than a second of silence passed till he started on his previous course.
"I know it's difficult for you to fathom, but where, when I'm from, the year 2166, you and everyone on this roof aren't just considered heroes, you're legends." Rip informed, making Snart face the time traveler's direction once again.
"Legends?" the guy in a super suit took a step forward.
"I, um, hate to nitpick, but doesn't a legend have to be dead?" Stein inquired.
The youngest of the group joined in, "Yeah, see, uh, that's a deal breaker for me, so I'm gonna pass."
"It's dangerous for any of you to know too much about your own futures, but I am here because each of you, as individuals, is destined for greatness." Hunter started to convince them.
The A.T.O.M. smiled slightly with a nod, "I could get behind that."
Rip Hunter continued, stepping forward, "And, because if you don't follow me, this is what is in store for your world 150 years from now."
He activated some kind of device, that projected onto the buildings, it showed Central City on fire, you could practically smell the burned world. Everyone was shocked and gaped at the image before them.
"I could have chosen any time and any place. Of all the people who ever lived, I chose you nine. I certainly hope that you won't let me, and the world, down." Rip swallowed, slightly nervous. After a moment of the soon-to-be Legends contemplating his words, he finished, "If your answer is yes, meet me at this address in 36 hours."
He handed a piece of paper to Stein and walked off, leaving the group to fend for themselves for two days.
