It was a cold, winter day and all my friends had gone to the movies without me. They left while I was sleeping, and I woke up with a note signed from my best friend Cameron Dallas stuck to my head with peanut butter.
"Gone to movies," I started to sleepily mumble. "Left pizza in the fridge for you. Love, Cam."
I didn't feel like eating pizza for breakfast, and my face began to wreak like peanut butter, so I got up and walked to the bathroom to wash the sticky substance off my face. As I grabbed a wash cloth, my little sister Skylynn walked in. "What are you doing?" She asked as she gestured to the brown mess on my forehead.
"The boys," I replied and began running hot water. Once the water became a nice, cool temperature, I applied it to the wash cloth and began to wash the peanut butter off my face.
"You look silly, Nash!" Skylynn laughed. Although she was only four years old, she was still someone I loved and made me laugh no matter how bad either one of us looked. The peanut butter was completely gone within minutues and I decided to call over my two friends, JC and Kian to watch Skylynn for a while, while I went out to grab some breakfast. Of course the boys wanted to come with me, but Skylynn insisted they stay behind with her and film some new Vines.
I put on a heavy winter coat and strapped on some converse before I headed out of the house with my phone, wallet and umbrella, just in case it started to rain. I walked around the block and turned through a few neighborhoods when I finally came across a small cafe called Martha Greens. I stumbled inside and took off my jacket, the storm outside was raging a little and the small, warm cafe felt nice against my freezing skin. I took a seat in a nearby booth and grabbed a menu before a brunette with gray eyes walked my way and asked what I was going to get to drink. Her hair, pulled up neatly into a pony tail, swished into her face as she turned on her heel and headed to the kitchen.
I examined the menu before something caught my eye, something I had never tried before. The description contained beef and potatos, something I'm very fond of, so I decided to give it a try. When the brunette waitress came back with my water, she asked if I was ready to order. I smiled and replied with, "I'd like a plate of your corn beef hash." Her pony tail once again flicked into her face and her eyes caught mine one more time before she walked to the booth next to mine to order another person's food.
I rested my head upon my hand as I waited for my food to come back, and a young lady's eye caught mine. I sat up as I saw a girl who looked younger than me with a huge smile on her face. I nodded and she shrieked, I assumed she must be a fan. I nodded for her to come over, guessing she wanted to meet me, and she ran over to me and toppled onto me in my booth. I pushed her off and told her a hug and picture would be a better idea. The girl blushed and stood up and scurried away into the bathroom. I probably just embarrassed the heck out of her.
My waitress came back to me with a huge plate full of scrambled meats and potatos, onions and cheese on the side. "Is there anything else I can get you?" She asked.
"I'm good, thank you." And with a twinkle in her eyes, she flipped her pony tail and wandered off back into the kitchen.
