Chapter Two

I decided to just walk to school which was only like five minutes away from where I live. I walked down the street and stopped in front of Emma's house (oh did I forget to mention we live on the same street) to see if she wanted to walk over to school together. After all, walking with a friend tops walking alone every time.
When I rang the doorbell, I could hear Emma's two-years-old puppy, Snow, start barking. Snow was a Great Pyrenees. In case you've never heard of a Great Pyrenees, it is the breed of dog that Santa Paws is. I know every breed of dog out there.
Emma opened the door, "Hi Abbey! I'll be ready in about two, come sit down and make yourself comfortable."
"How'd you know what I was here for?" I asked, walking into the house and petting Snow. "Hi Snow, how are you this morning?"
"Come on Abbey. It's the first day of school, why else would you be here?" Emma said giving me a quick hug before going into her room to finish getting ready.
I sat down on the five seat black leather couch in front of the TV, Snow jumped up next to me or rather on me. I didn't mind though because this is what I imagined my dog doing everyday, if I ever get one that is.
"Okay, I'm ready" Emma said walking into the living room with her purple backpack strapped to her back, her hot pink lunch box gripped tightly in her right hand and a bright red apple with a bite missing in her left hand. "Snow down!" she ordered once she realized Snow was sitting on me. Snow obeyed, she got off the couch, walked over to a dog bed in the corner of the room and laid down.
Me and Emma said goodbye to her parents and then started off to school.
"I can't believe we have almost the same schedule!" Emma said when we received our schedules for the new school year. We didn't have homeroom or mid seven together. For mod seven we both had an elective, I had aquaculture while Emma had technology.
"Me too! This year is going to be amazing! I exclaimed.
My schedule looks a little like this:

Oh yeah my last name is Lane and my middle name is Noel, Abbey Noel Lane, I know sounds silly

Instead of Mr. Pell for homeroom Emma had Ms. Melona. Even though we didn't have homeroom together it didn't bother us because homeroom is only ten minutes long, but what did bother us was not having mod seven together. Emma and I aren't the average eighth graders. We still act like we're in elementary school, so we don't have many friends. In fact it's just basically the two of us. She has me as a friend, I have her as a friend and that's it. We were going to have to have to go through a whole mod without anyone to talk to, to laugh with, share notes and all the other stuff friends do in class together. I mean sure one of us could change our mod seven elective, but Emma really wants technology and I really want aquaculture, so we will just have to give it a try.

So I had free time and decided to update this now while I had the chance. When school starts I'm not sure how active I will be. Please vote and comment!
