The Marauders high-fived one another, congratulating themselves for their success! Their success for what, you may ask? Their success for pranking Snape one hundred thousand times, of course! They kept a list, writing down the pranks they had pulled on Snape. Most of them weren't pretty...

There was that one time when Snape stepped into a puddle of water (one with a potion in it) on the way to Herbology. That puddle of water - or should I say puddle of potion - caused people to feel extremely ill. Snape was puking for the rest of the day.

There was also that other time when - actually, I don't think you want to know.

Anyway, Harry had read that list and was disgusted by what he saw. He was disgusted that the Marauders had actually used disgusting pranks, rather than ones that changed Snape's hair and clothes.

Harry was going off track. He had decided that tonight would be the night. The night where he finally destroyed the Horcrux that was in the castle.

Well, the night where he got the thing that was going to destroy the Horcrux in the castle. He couldn't think of any other alternative! It was either go down to the Chamber of Secrets and get the Basilisk fang, or use Fiendfire and risk killing himself (is that how you spell it? I forgot, I read the last book about five months ago)..

He would rather go down to the Chamber of Secrets and risk getting stabbed by the fang than try and learn how to control Fiendfire. He knew that the latter would be harder, as well as he fact that he knew that none of the books in the Restricted Section taught you how to create it and control it and stop it when you need to.

So Harry got clothes ready by his bed, stole James's wand (it was evening by then) and got ready for his 'exciting and fun' night out.

Of course, the Marauders suspected him. Harry knew that they had told Lily as well, so she'd be down in the Common Room, most likely reading a book, being in the lookout for him. That's why Harry made sure he had the best solution by his bed. The Invisibility Cloak would do the trick of getting out nicely. He had already found it hidden in James's trunk (it had a password, but anyone who knew James could guess that the password was 'Snivellus Sucks').

Harry took his clothes, James's wand and the Invisibility Cloak and hid it underneath his bed, so that no one would find it. Admittedly, it wasn't the most ingenious hiding place, but he couldn't reach anywhere higher! He hated being young (not that he wasn't smaller at Ron at school anyway).

It was dinner and Harry groaned. Dinner was the time where someone got pranked and it hadn't been him for a while. He cautiously touched his cereal, before it blew up in his face. He glared at the Marauders, who grinned sheepishly at him. He walked out (more like toddled out) muttering quietly his plan for tonight. He didn't see a shadow walk behind him, hearing every single word he uttered.

Finally, it was night and Harry got ready for the thing that would most likely be ingrained in his memory forever. The good and the bad parts. He immediately shook his head to rid himself of such thought. Harry forced himself to think that this was going to go perfectly, nothing was going to go wrong. Not a thing!

When Harry Potter is involved, though, hints tend to go in the opposite direction. If Harry thought that going into the Chamber of Secrets, killing the Basilisk and taking its fang would be a walk in the park, well, he'd certainly be in for a surprise!

Of course, this is Harry Potter we're talking about, so he knew he must always be ready for danger. Though even he couldn't have guessed what was going to be down there. Or, in the place at the castle where it was...

Harry quickly changed into the clothes he had stuffed under his bed, popped the wand in his back pocket and slipped the Invisibility Cloak over his head. He opened the door a bit and flinched when it creaked. Luckily, the boys in his room were very, very heavy sleepers. Apart from Remus, but a few days after the full moon, he was very tired, so he slept peacefully as well. All four boys had no idea what was going on. They had no idea that Harry had managed to slip out of the dorm, no idea that he creeped past Lily, no idea that he opened the portrait and went on his merry way.

Harry stealthily walked through the corridor, watching his step, making sure he didn't step on any of the prank places that the Marauders had installed in the school. He knew where they were off by heart now, he had been pranking so much! Well, been a person watching pranks being played, at least.

The moment Harry got to Myrtles bathroom, he felt that he had gotten there too quickly. Either that, or he hadn't gotten there quick enough. He quickly pulled the Invisibility Cloak over his head, feeling sure that he was alone. He didn't think to look in the shadows. He didn't think that someone had overheard him muttering to himself at breakfast. He didn't think that this person had come, intent on revenge.

Intent on revenge from the prank war that had begun. You guessed it, Snape had had overheard him! Snape was going to take revenge on him.

He heard overheard what Harry had said and he wanted to go to the Chamber of a Secrets with Harry, so that he could hurt him. Hurt him a lot!

Harry was oblivious to anything Snape did. He had cast a silencing spell on himself, so Harry couldn't hear Snape even if he tried!

Harry took a deep breath, stared at the small snake on the tap and whispered in Parseltongue, "Open."

Snape stared at him, confused. Suddenly, the sinks opened up to reveal an entrance. An entrance to, Snape supposed, the Chamber of Secrets.

Harry sat at the edge and pushed himself off of it, going down into the tunnel. He got himself ready for the fight of his life.

Snape stared as Harry pushed himself off the edge and went into the entrance of the Chamber of Secrets. He supposed that if he wanted to get revenge on Harry (and he was a bit curious) he should follow him. So he pushed himself off the edge and followed Harry into the Chamber of Secrets.

Boom, next chapter! Harry's going to defeat the Basilisk, it won't do anything to the time line because it's a different dimension. Wonder what I'm going to do to torture Harry today *rubs hands together, smirking*. You'll have to wait a see! See you in the next chapter!
