Harry needed to get James and Sirius off of his mind.

He'd slipped out of the alcove a while ago, choosing to go to the top of the Astronomy Tower. If anyone came up there, he knew enough hiding places to be sure that they didn't find him.

Yes, he didn't want to worry anyone. Of course not!

He just couldn't be around them at the moment. James, Sirius and Peter especially.

James and Sirius - he didn't honestly know why he continued avoiding them. They hadn't done anything wrong, at least not in person. Peter?

Well, that was self-explanatory.

He paced the floors, thinking as he did so. He needed to figure out his next move - he needed to know when he could defeat Voldemort in this dimension - he had to get all the Horcruxes.

He thought through the list.

Nagini - No, I'm pretty sure she isn't a Horcrux yet, since she was created after I was. Right?

Diary - Nope. I'm still trying to figure out where it is (perhaps eavesdropping on Death Eaters? - Plan A)

Cup - Dumbledore said that in our time it's in Bellatrix's vault (but she's young now, so Plan A)

Diadem - Done!

Me - I'll have to do me last. I know I technically don't exist in this dimension, but let's ignore logic and assume I'm still a Horcrux.

Locket - Dang. I have no clue where that'll be.

Ring - Wait! Dumbledore said where that is - the Gaunt Shack? Fawkes can help me get there!

Harry grinned at the thought of this new plan he'd come up with, before frowning again.

Dumbledore said he was pretty sure that there would be many curses on the locket - ones that would perhaps make you want to take it, but would make you shrivel up.

He'd definitely need someone's help on this.

Fawkes was the best option. He could teleport him there, and - but he couldn't talk to Fawkes, could he?

Dang. [1]

The only other options he had were to either learn how to teleport - which he didn't even know it wizards could do [2] -  or get one of those creepy horse things to fly him there.

Thestrals, were they called? He could have sworn Luna mentioned something about them, or maybe he read the word somehow, or heard it, and was just confusing it with the horse creatures.

Harry made up his mind. Thestrals were definitely the best option.

He sighed, figuring that he'd most likely have to do this later, as Remus would most likely be worried about it.

He crept into the Gryffindor common room, just to be smothered as he did so.

"Hey - let - me - down!" he yelled, trying to push the person away. The person, shocked, dropped him and he fell to the floor, landing on an awkward position on his leg.

He quickly jumped up, it wasn't that bad, he'd had worse pain.

"Sorry, Harry, I didn't expect you to - yeah. I know you don't like being carried, but - gosh, I'm so sorry!" the person apologised. "Remus has been searching everywhere for you. I'm pretty sure he's bargaining with the Slytherins right now - I'd better go tell him, actually."

The person - who Harry quickly learnt was Neville's mother, Alice - ran off, intent on finding Remus to say that Harry was okay.

The message was clear in the statement. Remus was extremely worried about him, so he shouldn't move a single muscle.
