Secret Love: Marshall Lee × Fionna Fanfic

The Mistake

Fionna woke up the next morning, but she was not in her room. It took Fionna a second before she realised that she was in...MARSHALL'S BED!

She got out of his bed as fast as possible and raced for his door, until it slamed right in her face.

" HEY!" She yelled in pain.

"Oh sorry". Marshall put out his hand to help her up. Fionna took his hand and Marshall pull as hard as he could not realizing how light she actually was, causing him to fall backwards as Fionna fell on top of him.

"Sorry" they said in unison as they both began to blush. He looked up at her beautiful blue eyes. He lifted his hand up to her face and brushed Fionna's gold yellow hair out of her face. For a long moment they just watched each other as Marshall moved one hand down her spine and brushed the other one through her hair.

Marshall's mind began to race. She's so beautiful, I wish this moment would last-
There was a loud knock.

"MARSHALL LEE! OPEN THIS DOOR OR SO HELP ME I WILL BREAK IT DOWN!" The voice at the door yelled.

Fionna jumped off Marshall and ran behind his bed. Finally realizing that she was wearing Marshall's shirt and ONLY his shirt. "Oh Glob oh glob. Marshall go answer the door". She frantically rifled through his sheets looking for her clothes.

Man she looks so cute when she gets nervous. Marshall thought as he got up and started heading to the door. The second Marshall opened the door Gumball tripped inside as he was about to knock again.

"Oh your highness what an honour to have you bless your presence in my humble home". Marshall said teasingly.

"Umm, where is she?" Gumball asked entering Marshall's house and began looking around.

"Who are you looking for your majesty?" Marshall said a little nervous for Gumball answer, but of course he didn't show it.

"She was not at her home so where are you hiding her?" Gumball asked again more aggressively.

"Glob, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. What did you eat too many sweets before bed last night?" Marshall tried to act clueless. If he finds Fionna she'll never forgive me. Marshall thought casually turning his head towards his closed bedroom door.

"Don't play dumb with me. I know Fionna is here". Gumball stomped towards Marshall pointing a finger at his chest.

"Ha...hahaha. What would I want with Fionna" Marshall said

I have to get out of here. Fionna thought when she heard Gumball's voice coming from the other side of Marshall's door. Thank the Candy kingdom he closed the door.

"Where's my hat?" Fionna whispered to herself.

"What would I want with Fionna." Fionna heard Marshall call her name. She slowly moved closer to the door to hear what the two were saying. As she crawled towards the bedroom door her hand landed on something soft.

"My hat." Fionna whispered to herself in glee.

"SHES HERE I KNOW IM RIGHT BECAUSE IM NEVER WRONG!" Fionna heard Gumball yelling. How does he know I'm here Fionna thought.

"Come on Prince she's fun to play with, but she's nothing to me. What would I want with her."

"What." Fionna was shocked at what Marshall said. Hopefully they didn't here me, I have to get out of here. Fionna crawled back to Marshall's bed and slowly opened the window. Once it was big enough she jumped out and began to run back to her house.

"If Fionna's not here let me check your room, then I will leave you alone." Gumball stated heading towards Marshall's bedroom door.

"Y-you can't go in there." Marshall stuttered trying to sound casual.

"Why not!" Gumball yelled.

"Its-its uhh it's not clean and I can't let the prince-

"LET ME IN!" Gumball yelled interrupting Marshall.

Marshall moved to his door and slowly turned the knob.

"Are you sure you want to go in here?" Marshall said with a little bit of hope that he had left.

"MARSHALL." Gumball said sternly. Marshall opened the door and took a sharp breath when Gumball stormed into his room, but there was no one there.

"See I told you that it was a mess Gumwod."

"It appears that I am mistaken. I apologize." Gumball said with annoyance in his voice. They both left the room and Marshall closed the door behind them.
