Hey guys! I know, where the hell have I been for the last two years?!? I was a good excuse...ok, I don’t. Life just hit me really hard and I have been super busy, please bear with me because I have not written anything for a long time, so this may suck.  I apologize for everything, making you guys wait and leaving a cliffhanger but hopefully this will make up for it. Thanks for hanging in so long!!!

I stared at Carrot as she paced back and forth, the room getting quieter and smaller as she did so. I glanced at Evelyn, only to see that she was in the same shocked expression as myself.

“Carrot” I asked quietly as she turned and looked at me. “Carrot, you're scaring me, what’s wrong?” she laughed and finally sat down on a small chair a few feet away.

“I’m pregnant, Loll. How-How am I going to take care of a baby, Jesus Christ I can’t even take care of myself.” Her voice cut off at the end as small sobs slipped through her lips, her forehead creasing as she began to cry.

“Don’t cry Carrot, it’s ok”  Evelyn said as she walked over and rubbed her back, I remained sitting on the bed, my eyes wide t the news. “Darry, will be there. Do you honestly think he wouldn’t?” Carrot let out  laugh and nodded.

“Honestly, I don’t really know what he will say. Loll, what...what do you think?” she asked me quietly, my mouth went numb as I slid off the bed and walked next to her.

“I’m going to be an aunt...how can I not be happy?” I finally said and pulled her into a hug.  Her perfume smelled of strawberries and made me feel safe, Carrot will be a great mom, she has always been a great one to me, and she isn’t even mine.  As we pulled back I wiped the tears off her face, and tried to fix her hair. “No offence or anything, but you look like shit”

We all busted out laughing at my little comment and quickly became silent as Darry walked into the room. “I’m going to be a Dad?” he whispered and looked at Carrot, his eyes glossy from unshed tears. She gave a small nod and Darry rushed at her, lifting her from the chair and spinning her in a circle before pulling her into a deep kiss.

I glanced at Evelyn and nodded towards the door, she nodded quickly and followed me as we made our escape. The rest of the gang was sitting the the front room, Two-Bit was watching Mickey, while the rest were talking about an upcoming rumble. My eyes scanned over the familiar faces and I noticed  certain green eyed greaser was missing.  “Pone?” I question to the room full of boys, they pointed to the front door without breaking the conversation. I nodded and made my way to the door, my own personal shadow following behind.

“Ok” I said with a laugh and turned around, “Evelyn, you’re nice and all but, honey, sweety, you can not follow me all night.” Evelyn blinked and gave a small nod.

“Right, sorry you probably want to talk to him, um...I’ll be here” she said and sat down stiffly in the brown chair. I chuckled and opened the front door. Pony was sitting on the front porch, a cancer stick hanging from his lips. The faint glow causing his lips to appear against the dark night.

“What are you doing out here?” I asked a I pulled the door shut behind me, and sat down next to him. Pony gave me a small smile and slung his arm over my shoulders, pulling me into the warmth of his body.

“So…” he said quietly and handed me the lit cigarette, “I’m going to be an Uncle?” I glanced at him and smiled, Pony nodded and shrugged his shoulders. “I’m not really surprised, actually. Darry is crazy about her” I gave him s small smile and leaned in closer.

“So...kids?” I dragged out and laughed. Pony gave me a small nod and pulled me into his lap.

“Kids yes, definitely. Marriage, absolutely. But right now I think we should get through high school first.”

    “Agreed.”

Sodapop pov

Now, overjoyed does not even compare with how I am feeling right now. By older brother has a girl, and a baby on the way. My younger brother has a girl and hopefully not a baby on the way...at least not now. But, hell maybe I should get myself out there more? I mean the only girl that I was really ever with was Sandy, and it still felt like something was missing.

I never really got along or found any of the girls at my school attractive...hell I started dating Sandy because Steve needed a wing man...maybe girls just ain’t my thing? Steve though, he’s as manly as they come, chasing skits since grade school. Myself on the other hand I was wrapped up in what Steve was doing that I didn’t have time to pay attention to girls. I only wanted to know what Steve was doing, and why he was doing it.

I walked away from the conversation about thirty minutes ago, everyone congratulated Darry and Carrot. Dally took Evelyn home and the rest of the gang crashed on the couch. I recently regained my own room once again and Steve decided to bunk with me, like old times. He would never admit it, but Steve was a cuddler, he would fall asleep and soon would wrap his arms around my middle. His hair would press into the underside of my cheek and he would let out a deep breath every so often. At times like this, is when I start thinking deeply about my life. Am I happy with it?  Should I be proud of who I am? Would my parents be disappointed that I’m not being who I want to be? the little things that take over t ni--

“Soda” Steve whispered as he looked up at me.

“Yeah?” I asked back quietly and waited for him to respond, he smiled in the dark and gave me a small kiss on the cheek. Dangerously close to the corner of my lip.

“Good night Sodapop” he sighed and closed  his eyes.

    “Good night….”

What do you guys think? Shocked with the turn of events?!? I hope you liked it, I’m not sure when I will update again, hopefully not two years from now, lol. I’m sorry it’s kind of short, but hell, it’s something right? Thank you so much for sticking by me and continuing to read you guys are...amazing. Thank you.
