Chapter 1-the worst Surprise Ever

"Hi" said Selena over her phone,"how are you i-i want to tell you something,can we meet in the park by the library in an hour please Simon"."OK then see you there"replied Simon surprised.
An hour later Selena and Simon met in the park. Simon bought ice cream for the both of them but Selena refused,saying she was not in the mood; which was strange thought Simon because Selena loved ice cream. They sat on one of the benches facing each other Selena face looked tensed and lined with worries and stress thought Simon."Simon my private Doctor says that I am pregnant"; Simon gasped in surprise "and" continued Selena,"I have cancer that has spread through my body ,he says that I have 2 to 3 months again till I am bed ridden and - the baby would not survive."Simon Finally spoke,"But you are healthy as any other human being and did Brandon did the whole 'pie in the oven' thing to you?"Simon asked who didn't like Selena's boyfriend Brandon.

Simon and Selena has been best of Friends since birth, They grew up together and acted like each other siblings. Once in middle school Simon fought with one of the bigger boys just for telling Selena that she's ugly. He smiled at the memory still feeling proud of himself for protecting her that Day.

"Did you tell your mom about it,the pregnancy and the disease."said Simon who broke the silence between them which was awkward. Selena turned to watch him,her face wet with tears witch Simon wiped off."no Not as yet she will be terrified about it and get more sick I don't want that to happen"said Selena. She just wanted to hug Simon and cry in his shoulders and fall asleep in his protective arms where everything is perfect. Simon hugged her somehow reading her mind and she cried until she started to yawn. Simon slowly got on his feet carrying her with him. They started to walk to the subway station; when they reached as soon as the train started of Selena fell asleep.

When she got up she was tocked in Simon's bed witch was familiar with all the sleep overs they had when they were younger. She turned on the bed and saw Simon asleep on a chair next to the bed. It was strange that Simon did not sleep with her when she realised she picked up most of the bed. She got up and walked to Simon and told him to go and sleep on the bed.Simon reluctantly agreed and lay down on the bed,he fell asleep immediately. Happy she went into the bathroom and took a shower,surprised she saw a suit of lady clothing in Simon's closet and realised it was hers from last year's Christmas sleep over. She quickly dressed and combed her hair in two ponytails. By the time she finished Simon got up and looked at her. He walked into the bathroom and closed the door. He took a shower and dressed he came out to find Selena talking on her phone to someone - her mom.
