"Alright everyone!" Helena spoke softly, her mind occupied with other things two more weeks.. I'm going to do it again She shook her head and turned back to the table, "Today we're going to get to know each other better. Play a few games, have a chat and, um.. Just, try to be social. Okay, well, I've gotta go do some things. Ryan, your in charge." She quickly spoke, standing and walking to the door as she spoke.
"Okay.." Ryan muttered with his eyes following his sister. He turned back to the others with a grin. "So, what do you want to do?"
"I dunno," Frankie mumbled, her mouth stuffed with pancakes.
"Manners," Destiny scolded, bopping Daisy on her knee.
"Sorry," she grinned, syrup dripping down her chin. The older girl shook her head and looked down at Daisy, playing with her hair.
"We could go to the library," Dillan suggested, pushing his empty plate forward.
"Boring," Ryan yawned, earning a glare from the tanned boy.
"I think we should get to know each other," Melissa smiled.
"I guess. We could play 20 questions." He stood from his seat, taking one more sip of his milkshake.
"Lovely idea." She agreed.

Helena sighed and fell into the brown seat, her hands slapping against the cushioned arms. She closed her eyes and focused, her mind being invaded with the thoughts of others. She put a finger to her temple took a sharp breath, He should be here soon.. her eyes shot open and she rubbed the side of her head, "Who's voice is that," she muttered, brushing a hand through her hair.

"So, peculiarities. Let's go in a circle.. Allison,"
"I'm a shape shifter. Melissa,"
"Blood healer. Lolita?"
"Disintegration,"
"That's interesting,"
"How about you Destiny?"
"I have enhanced vision,"
This went on for a while, going around and learning more about one another.

Helena stalked down the stairs and smiled at the children. She tapped Ryan on the shoulder "Miss Blackbird asked me to go get some new peculiars, I'll be back soon." She whispered, slinging a backpack onto her shoulder.
"Be careful," he nodded.

Helena zipped open the grey rucksack and rummaged around, looking for a piece of crumpled parchment. Pulling out a sheet of white paper she smiled faintly, unfolding the letter, it read:

To whomever this may concern,
I am writing this letter to you as you are different,
Whether it be you were chased away, called a freak or even cast away by your own kind.
Whatever or whoever you are, welcome.
I have a few peculiars who already live with me, they will welcome you and make sure you are comfortable.
If you do not know what these words mean, such as Peculiar and Loop, well welcome to our world.
A Loop is just that, a Loop of time. We Ymbrynes can turn into a bird, I a Blackbird, and repeat a certain moment in time. A Loop is a repeat of a safe 24 hours that only Peculiars can enter. If you decide to come join me and my wards, look for the old bridge hidden in the Forest, I will be waiting, follow me and you will be safe.
Yours Faithfully,

Miss Rosaline Maryanne Blackbird,

She turned to the left of the house and made her way through the meadow, the long feathery grass tickling her knees. The sky was bright, as always, and cast a warm light over the landscape. She sighed and made her way to the lake, watching the rippling water. She sat down on the edge, her feet just touching the cold water. She plucked a large daisy from the ground beside her and balled her hand around the head, pulling the petals from the centre. She opened her fist and picked the soft petals from her palm, sprinkling them over the blue water, the sun dusting the clear liquid in gold specks.

She moved her body to the side and glode her hand over the petals, maneuvering them together and scooping them back up, placing them on the soil beside her. She dusted of her dress and brought her legs from under her, using her hands to push herself up. Now on her feet, she pulled the straps of her bag back to her shoulders and made her way around the lake.

The trees of the forest brought a shadow over its inhabitants, a perfect shade from the burning sun.
Helena walked down the cobbled path, leaves and twigs snapping beneath her clad feet.
An artery of water came into view, a polished stone bridge crossing over the top, moss and ivy adorning each crack and falling below the crook as a kind of curtain. On the wall of the bridge sat a boy and a girl, the latter a young blonde carrying a ukulele; the other a tall boy whom adorned a head of shaggy black hair and tanned skin.
She strode up to the river and got up on her tip-toes, leaning over the stone wall and rest her chin on the . "Hello," she smiled softly.
"Hello Miss, who might you be?" The girl questioned.
"My names Helena, I'm a resident at Miss Blackbirds home. I'm guessing you both got a letter?" She questioned, glancing at the two.
"Y-yes, I-I did," the brunette stuttered, handing her a scrolled piece of parchment, a red ribbon tied loosely around the paper.
"Thank you," she said quietly, untying the the ribbon and checking the letter, nodding in affirmation.
She looked at the girl and smiled.
She pulled out a letter matching the one the boy gave and smiled, handing it to her, "My names Carlina by the way."
Helena nodded and looked back to the boy, "And you are..?"
"C-cars-son," he smiled warily.
"Well then, follow me." She leaned back from the wall and turned on her heel, folding the sheets of paper and stuffing them into her pocket.

Helena pushed open the door and stood aside to let the three new peculiars in.
She closed the door behind them and went to the kitchen.
The children were sat at the dining table, dishes of chicken and salad being passes around.
"Uh, you can go and sit down for lunch, after that you can have a little look around, there should be some spare rooms upstairs and yea.. say hello."
