Colourless

Chapter 14

~School concert~

The band members all went to their instruments, Kai on the keyboard on the far left side of the stage near the middle, Ren at the drums in the middle of the stage, Lily at her guitar on the left near the front, Yuki helped Ayumu to the mic before going to he's guitar which was near the front but on the right of the mic.

Ayumu grabbed the mic tightly that was attached to a stand, he could hear people whispering from the front where everyone gathered to see this band that formed.

One person shouted out what everyone was thinking "What's a blind person doing on stage?" That made Ayumu more nervous then before as more people started to yell, Ayumu held the ring that was hanging near he's heart tightly it was the only thing left of his sister that wasn't removed by he's parents.

He's nervous started to show more in the form of shaking arms but then suddenly a loud keyboard sound was heard that shut everyone up and made Ayumu snap out of he's nervousness and reminded him of why he was standing on stage.

He relaxed he's arms and grabbed the mic with both hands as he calmly and confidently said into the mic "Thanks for coming everyone! We from the music club! Our band is called Endless dream, lets go guys!" The band started to play their first cover song.

At the end of the cover songs, everyone who was listening was blowing away by how good the band and their blind singer was. More people started to gather for the final song after hearing from friends how good the band was.

Ayumu spoke into the mic once the last cover was over "The final song we are playing is a original song by us, it's called Colourless".

Ren was hitting the sticks together before he started to drum, the others following shortly after but Ayumu closed he's eyes waiting for he's moment before he sang with all the hidden emotions he felt about he's parents not showing up again.

All my emotions leaving my body

The world becoming colourless

As darkness take's over my sight

I am breathless as I hit the ground, the world around me is covered in darkness with me being lost in it, I call out in hope of reaching someone

I wonder around hoping to find out why this world became so cold, you stay by my side during this crazy adventure as we meet new people

This world may seem colourless and cold but for the first time, I feel my emotions returning to me after this long time, you all reached out to me in this world

With that Ayumu was panting and the crowd was going wild with cheers, soon the band members walked over to Ayumu and embraced him.

Yuki was messing he's hair up while Lily and Ren where hugging him from the front and behind while Kai was standing by Yuki smiling.

Their first concert went well and after they cleaned everything away they agreed to celebrate the successful concert with some karaoke tomorrow after school instead of right away to give Ayumu a break from singing.
