The girls arrived back home and found Amita packing up to go and Amber went into the room throwing her arms around Amita. This caused the younger woman to look up at her sister who shrugged mouthing to hug her back.
Amita hugged Amber back, patting her back. "Is the world ending? Why are we hugging?"
"I'm so glad you didn't leave yet. I was going to kill you."
"Okay, Samiya, get your wife. She's crazy."
"I'm not crazy, Mita."
"You are crazy," Samiya told her.
"I've been here for three weeks, and you were gone for two of them," Amita added.
Amber frowned. That was true. Amita had been staying with her for a full three weeks and they had barely done anything together. But she also hadn't expected the girl to be going to Atlanta. She knew she'd applied for the internship but didn't know until Samiya said so that she'd been accepted.
Although it was no different than not spending time with Amita while she was living in New York, she was in her house for three whole weeks, and they'd spent so little time together.
"I know. We didn't spend enough time together."
"I'll be back when school starts back. Kinda just relax until then," Amita suggested, releasing Amber.
"Hey, what time is your flight?"
"It leaves at six. Why?"
Amber was going to squeeze in just a little time with Amita before she left, even if it was just today. She was going to make sure they did something before they went to that airport.
"Do you want to go bowling?"
"Not with you, Amber. Anyone who knows you knows so much better."
Amita had gone bowling once with Amber, Samiya, Amber's three brothers, and one of Samiya's friends, and she had certainly learned her lesson about bowling alleys and Amber. That was a bad idea and she was never subjecting herself to that again.
"Fine. What should we do?"
"Why don't we just go and have a nice dinner, maybe catch a movie, and stop by the book store," she suggested.
Amita knew she had to give Amber activities where she couldn't act up. But knowing her sister-in-law, she would certainly find a way to misbehave.
"I can cook for you."
"I can't take food on the plane and you know that. You can visit, Amber. Sheesh. Where is all this extra estrogen coming from?"
"My ovaries." Amber frowned and the two sisters rolled their eyes at her.
"I'm packing, Amber," Amita told her, shooing her out of the room.
Samiya took her wife's hand and led her out of the room. "Leave that girl alone, Amber. Don't pull her into your little emotional vortex."
Amber pouted, and Samiya smacked her ass. "I'm going to make you take a nap like the other toddlers," she told her wife, and Amber rolled her eyes then.
"We need to take a shower."
"You are a two-person job."
"Well the second person has a real job to do so you just have to cover this shift alone," Amber told her, closing the door and pulling her to the bathroom.
Samiya shook her head, allowing Amber to pull off her clothes. She didn't have a problem with entertaining Amber's horniness. They had a good time. And she knew that if she said no, Amber would respect it and do it herself. She just didn't like having to make Amber do it herself.
