Though he had only been working as reserve seeker for the Falmouth Falcon for several weeks, Harry was glad he had found a job he loved and was very good at. Even though he was only a reserve, he was treated the exact same as the rest of the team, training with them and occasionally having a pint with them after a particularly difficult training session.

Harry's life was very quickly becoming relaxed and joyful, quite a difference to his time at Hogwarts and the few years after Voldemort's death. People had stopped questioning him about Voldemort after the remaining deatheaters had been shut into Azkaban after having their memories wiped, everyone just wanted to move on, including Harry. He, Ron and Hermione were still firm friends and met up for butterbeers once a week at the Leaky Cauldron to chat. Most of the time they'd go to Diagon Alley and buy icecreams or broomstick supplies or a new book. Though all three of them liked the icecreams, Harry and Ron didn't really enjoy venturing into the book shop and Hermione got bored of Quality Quidditch Supplies very quickly.

On a Friday morning, just before Harry was about to leave for training, a letter arrived in the peak of a strange looking owl. It had large feathers protruding from the top of its head, looking like very large eyebrows and green-blue eyes. Harry saw the bird and guessed who owned it, only one person he knew would own a bird like that.

"Luna," He muttered, grinning as he leaned his broom against the wall beside his door and jogged back over to the owl. The animal didn't look distressed by Harry's approach only stuck out its head as it swiveled its head to look around the apartment. Harry opened the letter, showing a note written in flowing handwriting that managed to portray Luna's character in a bizarre way. Harry scanned the letter and felt a grin form on his face,

Harry. It began.

How does ten o'clock on Saturday sound for a butterbeer? I can't make it on another day because I'm going away with my father to search for the crumple horned snorkack. If you'd like to come you are welcome!

-Luna

Harry chortled at the idea of himself clambering over boulders looking for an animal he knew didn't exist. Shaking his head, but still smiling, Harry quickly wrote an answer.

I can't wait :)

Unfortunately, I am very busy with training so I can't come with you and your father in search of your wonderful crumple horned snorkack. Please keep in touch while you are gone and we can have another drink when you come back home.

Harry gave his answer to the owl which took its time leaving, preferring to try and eat Harry's coffee beans before the latter showed it away. Knowing he was almost late, Harry picked up his new Firebolt and ran out of his flat before aparating with a small 'pop'.

***********

Luna 'Looney' Lovegood was sitting beside the stream near her father's house when her owl returned. She was fishing for fresh water plimpies, nor was she trying to defend herself against nargles. Luna Lovegood was doing something very normal and sane, she was daydreaming about Harry Potter.

Extravagant ideas forming in her mind, daydreams about a boy with pitch hair and green eyes, flower petals slowly falling into her lap. Imagining the headlines, 'HARRY POTTER AND LUNA LOVEGOOD, DATING?' and dreaming of Harry telling the media to sod of and leave his girlfriend be.

The owl ended her daydreams, bringing her back to reality. She wasn't sitting on Harry's couch eating popcorn and looking at old photographs from school, nor was she lying in soft grass on top of a hill looking for shapes in clouds. Luna sighed, knowing she was just sitting beside a bubbling stream filled with strange creatures no one knew about, plucking petals from flowers hoping to discover her future.

"Hello Mo," Luna said, greeting the owl who landed on her knee. Sticking out his leg, Mo allowed Luna to tie off the letter before flying back to the house, no doubt hoping for some sleep.

When Luna read Harry's reply, she felt a grin form on her face. He wants to keep in touch, she thought, he wants to hear from me when I'm gone.

Letting out a joyful laugh, Luna jumped to her feet, skipping up towards her home, feeling lighter and happier than she ever had chasing her creatures.
