- The dead she-cat in chapter v is Koisplash and Beepaw's mother

- Koipaw's warrior name was a last second decision. She was originally to be called Koipounce

- AsterClan's story isn't over yet! The sequel to The Chronicles of Koipaw will be written for a new writing competition, perhaps Scriptorial season two

- Grizzlyfang has hypothyroidism and Lynxpaw has hyperthyroidism.

- The three StarClan cats from chapter ii will return in the sequel. If you haven't noticed, Myrtletuft and Azure-eyes have appeared multiple times throughout the novel

- Clues are scattered throughout the chapters that foreshadow the next chapters or the sequel and backstory

- Grizzlyfang looks nothing like his graphic from the graphic chapter. In reality, he has multicoloured freckles on his cheeks, tail and back, plus mahogany-brown socks. He is based off of a friend's roleplay character.

- There are a few LGBT cats in this story. Out of the main characters, Koisplash is asexual, Grizzlyfang and Lynxpaw are both bisexual.

- While captured, Beepaw developed feelings for Cherryspark despite the age. The crush was one sided, yet Cherry began to look at him like he was her daughter

- There was a minor mistake with the character Canarycry. At first, he was one of the cats trapped in the Medicine Cat den, but then in the next chapter, the old medicine cat was named the same. The trapped cat was later re-named Daisydust

- Grizzlyfang was never supposed to die. It was a last minute decision and was partly written in because helloilovecats didn't want him to

- AsterClan wasn't supposed to be revealed as the Clan's name until the last chapter. Additionally, the second Clan's is never revealed. Hint: It starts with A

- Sablefur's prefix came from the novel Saving Sable. Sablefur was actually named Sabletuft until I had a mental blank and wrote the other name instead

- Grizzlyfang was almost named Grizzlynose

- Lynxpaw has deep romantic feeling for a character

- While there were not enough chapters to establish proper personalities, Koisplash's personality is similar to Rosa Diaz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and also sounds like her

- Grizzlyfang had a Russian thick accent, but it dissolved over time.

- After all of the events, Koisplash, Beepaw and Cherryspark develop PTSD. Koisplash' trauma will be touched on in the sequel

- The three StarClan cats were originally main characters. Batear/Myrtletuft was originally Koisplash's uncle, while Azure-eyes was her mother. This was changed after the prompts didn't match my expectations

- Beepaw was almost called Ryepaw

- AsterClan was almost called CarmineClan

- Daisydust, Grizzlyfang and Puddlestalk are all names from other stories.

- Chapter x's title, The Light Brigade, is a direct reference to the popular poem, Charge of the Light Brigade. It even follows the same rough plot.

- The opening paragraph of the final chapter is a small reference to the TV show, Touch.

- Most titles of chapters are references. Believer is a reference to the new Imagine Dragons song, Black and Blue is a reference to Bruno Mars' song, Grenade. Starry, Starry Night is a reference to Vahn Gogh's famous painting, Lasting Hibernation is a reference to Grizzlyfang's death, and Shiver and Linger is a reference to two shitty werewolf books I once read.
