What is a PLOT?

According to Wikipedia: Plot is a literary term defined as the events that make up a story, particularly as they relate to one another in a pattern, in a sequence, through cause and effect, how the reader views the story, or simply by coincidence.

According to Fiction Writing: Plot differs from story in that plot is concerned with how events are related, how they are structured, and how they enact change in the major characters. Most plots will trace some process of change in which characters are caught up in a conflict that is eventually resolved. Plots may be fully integrated or "tightly knit," or episodic in nature. And,

According to literature: Plot is the structure and relationship of actions and events in a work of fiction.

And as for me, PLOT is another one of the important factors in writing a story. Your plot should be (like in choosing a title) catchy.

Do not overdo your plot. Make sure that you won't reveal all the events that will happen in your story. It will become boring for the readers if they know how your story will flow.

Also, make sure that your plot is well-decribed. By well-describe it means that it should be interesting.

For my opinion again, when I choose to read a book, plot makes me read a story. If a story possess a good plot, it will make a person read your story.

Compare to a human, the plot of a human is his physical features. If someone looks beautiful, people will get interested with him or her.

Just like in story, your plot will become the "face" of your story so make sure that you make a good plot and make sure that it is related on your story.

Not because you want to make someone read your story you're going to make a plot which is so far and unrelated to your story. Make sure that your readers won't get lost to your plot and to the story itself.

A Plot and the story Title should always compliment one another. They should be parallel to each other.

PLOT IS NOT A QUOTATION! And every story should have its PLOT!

As to what I have observed here in Wattpad, many story plot consist of "Quotation" or "Lines" for the characters of their story.

That is NOT A PLOT people. That is a LINE/QUOTATION!

If you want to put a quotation in your story, then place it. Put some if you want. But do not make it the plot of your story. Read the definition of plot above and be aware of what plot is.
