Aurora POV

Listing the thing I knew about the mafia, which was very little, I knew that if in any way responded to the little girl in front of me I was going to be found in either a ditch or a lake.

Samejima beside me clears his throat, and pushes me behind him slightly once more. "Nakiro, go to your Mummy. Ok?" he says, in a voice so soft I was surprised it had come out of him.

Who are you Samejima?

"N-oo.." she pouts in the way that toddlers do. She points up at me once more, "F-riendiee frog?"

She was now holding up a child's reading book at Samejima and I expectantly, and blinking large eyes that are filled with an emotion not short of adoration.

I take my eyes of her, only to look at Samejima's tall frame. She adores this man, inside and out - which made me think...

I needed to trust him. "Whatever you need to do, do it." I whisper in his ear.

"I'm not letting you get hurt." he whispers back. He picks up the little girl and holds her to his chest and speaks to her, "Come on little Nakiro, you know I'll read that for you tonight." he says softly and ruffles her hair.

He settles her down and her bottom lip begins to tremble. "T-trouble...?"

"No sweetheart you're not in trouble." a man with a red suit, tall frame, long hair and hat says softly from the sofa, and pulls the cutie towards him.

"Samejima, you've never disobeyed an order before." Mr Oh says, his eyes cold like ice as he looks in our direction. But I can see the confusion in them, and the mix of wonder too.

"Dadd-ee" then, Mr Oh seems to snap to attention and looks at his daughter. He turns back to us,

"Right, you and the girl in my office NOW. Baba take my daughter to Tres Spades. Now. Seeing as my own house has been compromised" He says, his tone like a whip- sharp and strong.

Samejima keeps me behind him as we walk into the navy office, with another woman and Mr Oh. The office was large, and the atmosphere was tense and intimidating. He sits behind a heavy oak desk that shined. Over the legs were carvings of dragons in ice climate.

His crosses his arms. "What do you have to say?" the Dragon sneers aggressively.

"I want it on your honour and word that you won't hurt her." Samejima states, not backing down. His shoulders, with muscle trained to kill were leaned back, ready for anything.

Prepared for anything.

"Excuseeeeeeeeeee me?" Soryu almost growls, and the woman to his right pulls him back by the shoulder with a strong grip.

"Samejima-" Reina says in disalarm.

"I either stay here with her or I walk out of here WITH her." I pull him back, and he looks at me with stormy eyes.

They were a warning to stay back, but I'd be damned if I walk into his life and make a mess of it. "This is your family, what are doing?" I whisper, my mouth almost hanging. "You can't do this."

"You're his sister. I should have saved him and I'll be damned if I make the same mistake again." and then turns back on me.

I allow the words to sink in, and recognise that guilt he feels for the death of my brother. But I refuse to believe that he killed him...

Looking up at the woman beside Mr Oh, I begin to recognise her as Mrs Oh, the technology guru of the century that works alongside the Ichinomiya Group. Reina Black...

didn't I hack into one of her systems once? Oh this is going to be awkward.

"Samejima, explain first."

"Word first." he growls back.

Mr Oh slams his fist on the desk and looks up with eyes full of fire, "Fine. I won't bloody ring her neck but I might yours-" Mrs Oh pushes him back down into the chair and speaks stern words.

She looks up and walks in front of Samejima. "Explain now." She is up close to him, and seems to shake- she was not used to battling her own; especially not him.

Samejima gives them a detailed account of the mornings events, and how I had come to find them. Reina keeps her eyes on me the entire time. She cocks her brow once he's finished, "Since when could a teenager hack into systems?"

I grit my teeth, "I didn't. You legally own this property so you're on the register."

"Clever." Soryu says, and I notice that the two across from us are staring at us both. "Why such the closeness Samejima?"

Charming, I think to myself. I'm not Reina but I'm not ugly...

"She's Inui's sister." he defends himself.

Ah.

"We need to clear her to be inside this house," Reina says, and pulls out two laptops. "She will be kept here under guard until I've finished with that."

"Guard?" Samejima questions.

"3 armed underlings." Reina says, and puts a hand on her hip as she looks at us.

"Screw that." BAM. A fist hits the desk again and Soryu looks furious, the fire pouring out from eyes.

"You. Never. Use. That. Tone. With. Her. Ever."

A moment passes, and no one says anything.

"I'm sorry, I overstepped." Samejima sighs, and pulls at his sweatshirt that I can see is worn down- probably from a lot of washing.

Samejima looks up at them, and the atmosphere seemed to relax slightly. They were family.

I step away from Samejima and as he begins to panic I stroke his arm, "I'll be held wherever I need to be held for however long- I won't run." I say with a shaky breath. "However, I would ask that you allow me to be returned home briefly at 7pm for 15 minutes each day."

Soryu Oh looks at me respectively," I agree to that term as long as you are accompanied."

"Thank you, Sir." I reply and step back behind Samejima.

"What is your name?" Reina asks, to start her checks no doubt.

"Aurora, Aurora Inui."
