So, shit is about to go down. Hope you enjoy....!

Samejima POV

Standing in front of the mirror I take in my reflection, washed out black jeans with a crumpled white shirt and a thin black tie.

I looked.. smarter than usual.

I couldn't even convince myself I looked smart enough to meet Aurora, let alone anyone else. As I walk out from my bedroom I am confronted with a series of comments.

"You're not going in that." Eisuke says with his nose turned up.

"Eisuke." Violet hisses, "Samejima... why don't we go shopping we still have time?"

Reina comes into my view holding the newborn baby Dragon in her arms, "Samejima... I'm begging you.. please let us buy you some more clothes. You have nothing to zero."

I grit my teeth, "No thank you."

"I don't get it, you're not doing this because of the money because in reality they owe you for wages and help... why don't you take what they owe you?" Baba says, his hand to his chin.

"She's going to think you put in no effort." Ota snorts, whilst looking me up and down.

"Absolutely."

"Damn kid, even I put in more effort."

"Did you even brush your hair?"

I let them all howl and laugh, except for the females who seem at a loss, until something just...

snaps.

"You know what," their eyes turn and Reina looks shocked, " I've had enough of this. You know why I don't need luxurious outfits? Because unlike you guys I actually have some dignity to offer the girl at this age. I don't need to hide myself under the mask of being a master with ownership or surround myself with women to make myself feel better under a hat. I don't need to ruin my lungs with 100 damn cigarettes every damn day and I don't need-"

I turn to look right at Eisuke Ichinomiya, "- to pretend I don't need anyone." I get right up to his face. "And you why? Because I. don't. need. anybody."

Everyone in the room was frozen; I barely spoke much after Inui died so in many cases this is the first time they'd heard my voice for months. This was unusual for my personality, I was the calm, cold and shy one that hid away in his room, not drawing attention to himself.

Eisuke snorts out a laugh, "How interesting that you have a voice, but Samejima...you needed Soryu."

"No. I didn't. Just like you I got abandoned, but unlike you I had the shit beaten out of me. I was broken from knee high, from a young age I learnt how to survive by myself. You and I, we're nothing alike Eisuke, in that preppy school of yours you needed Soryu... I just wanted this life with him."

I turn away and laugh, "I only put up with your constant, ignorant comments about me and who you think I am because I respected Soryu. I respected Inui-"

my eyes turn very dark and I turn back to look at them, "But one of them is dead and the other isn't here. So, keep your opinions to yourself because a female who cares only about what I look like is one I don't want at all, better she learns that now."

Aurora POV

The underling usually on door duty buzzes me in, and I pat down my jeans of dust before coming inside. "Thank you, Reiner."

I didn't know many people from the family security system but he was the only one who had answered his name when I had asked him his name.

The man, 6ft tall and built like a stone brick building, looks down at me and connects with my eyes. "No problem Miss Inui."

"Is Samejima inside?" I ask and he nods. "Ok, thank you."

There was very little chit chat in these walls but that was more down to me than the running of the place itself. I wasn't trusted, wasn't intended to be trusted and therefore when without Samejima beside me I was watched like a hawk.

Everyone, however, acted as if Samejima was my invisibility cloak. No one bothered us, asked us anything and no one watched me intently.

They trusted him to look after me. Which told me all I needed to know about how high up Samejima was in Soryu's security.

His right hand man.

As I approach the door frame to the living room I instinctively stop as I hear voices in a harsh tone. " so keep your opinions to yourself, because a female who cares only about what I look like is one I don't want at all. Better she learns that now."

I push open the door, and watch as everyone turns to look at me. "Samejima?"

"Aurora." he says, blinking slightly. He had gone from angry, assertive and.. well.. in control to the shy quiet one everyone knew him for.

I decide not to question it now and smile, "Shall we head off when you're ready?"

The others nod enthusiastically, meaning that I should get him away from the cold hearted billionaire.. and quickly.

Samejima turns and walks through the big double doors and I quickly follow. Heading out to the car, he was the sort of angry that made me skittish. He wasn't saying anything. Which meant he was likely to implode...

hurt me...

hurt Mum...

I snap out of it quickly. Samejima would never hit me. I had to believe that. With the firm confirming of his dignity, I get into the car. "Samejima?"

He attempts to take a big breath and looks down at me whilst I smile up at him for a moment, "Yes?"

"You look really nice today. Where are you taking me?"
