After a wonderful Christmas, we all went to bed. So now, a minute after I woke up, I realised it was December 26, my birthday. To be honest, I didn't want to come out of my warm and cosy bed. Nobody ever celebrated my b-day, so why would anybody do this year? Okay, I'm turning  and only James gives me a cupcake and sings me 'Happy Birthday' every year, but that's it. From the rest of the family I always get my presents on Christmas Day, together with my Christmas presents. When I was younger, I was happy I had James to remind me I had my anniversary on this day, otherwise I would have probably thought I was the only kid in the world without a birthday. In other words: I'm not expecting a party today, even though is kind of a special age. But there's a show tonight, so they all have rehearsals during the day. And Sylvia and Michele are joining them. So, I'm on my own. Again.

A quiet knock on my door made me wake up out of my daydream.

"- Chloe, are you awake?" Someone said from behind the door. I just pretended I was still asleep. The door opened and when I peaked I saw Austin walking towards me with breakfast.

"- I see you peaking." I closed my eyes again.

"- Oh, so you're playing that game." Austin's morning voice sounded so sexy. I heard him putting the tray down and felt his body coming closer. His soft lips touched mine and I couldn't help it but kissed him back.

"- I knew you were up." He said when we parted.

"- I don't want to be up.

- Why not? It's a special day today." He looked me in the eyes.

"- It's my B-day, but what more? It's not like anyone celebrated it before, except for my brother.

- What? I don't believe that.

- It is.

- Explain." I told him what happened every year.

"- Not this year. I'm going to make it a day to never forget.

- How? You have rehearsals.

- I'll promise you this: I'm going to rehearsals for an hour and I'm going to sneak out after and than I'm all yours. I'm going to give you a birthday you'll still remember in 50 years." I laughed.

"- Aren't you exaggerating a bit?

- Nope." We both laughed.

"- Okay. I believe you." We kissed.

"- I'll leave you with your breakfast." He winked and wanted to stand up from my bed.

"- No." I grabbed his arm to stop him. " Stay. And eat this with me.

- Everything for my princess." He placed the breakfast in between us and together we enjoyed it and eachothers company. What made me the happiest was that Austin remembered that today was my sweet sixteen.

"- I'll give you the time to get dressed and I'll meet you downstairs. Remember: this is your day." With a wink he closed the door and left me in my room. I walked over to my closet. After a minute I decided to put on a simple jeans with a tank top and ballet flats, since it was promised to be a beautiful day: sunny and not to hot. Not fully convinced yet, I grabbed my phone from the night stand and slid it in the pocket of my jeans. I opened the door with a sigh. I walked down the stairs with my eyes focused on my feet. When I reached the end, I looked up again and was completely stunned.

"- SURPRISE!!" Everybody shouted. Tears came up in my eyes, I really didn't expect this. They were all standing in a circle with in the middle Carlos, Logan and Kendall holding a giant cake saying 'Happy Sweet Sixteen Chloe'.

"- Are you crying?" Sylvia asked a bit worried.

"- No, I'm not." I turned around and covered my eyes with my hands.
