Flames licked Kiara's door as smoke billowed around her room, choking Kiara and filling her throat.

She crouched down to the floor, but her lungs were already burning. The air was thick with black smoke that stung Kiara's eyes, forcing her to close them.

Blindly crawling around her bedroom, Kiara desperately tried to find her door, but she couldn't, as she was heading in the wrong direction.

With a loud thump, Kiara hit the wall beside her bed. Her head was aching; her eyes were blurry and her limbs were weak.

Everything was fading and becoming further and further away until there was nothing left...

Even though she was unconscious, Kiara could still feel arms wrapping around her as she was pulled from the inferno that was once her bedroom.
