Cherry Blossoms

38 10 4

The soft pink of the petals,
As they drift from the tree,
Tickle my nose,
My face,
And tangle in my heart.

If only I could hold them there forever,
A tangled,
Knotted,
Mess inside of me.

Then I could laugh
And sing
And dance,
With all the joy these flowers feel
As they glide to the ground.

Wouldn't it be amazing,
To be a cherry tree?

To bloom such beauty,
And see other's lives come and go
Right before your eyes-

To always have the sky,
Stretch
Stretch
Stretch
Above your arms-

To always have the ground,
Stretch
Stretch
Stretch
Beneath your feet-

To always grow,
And keep in sync with time-

To produce beauty
And substance for life?

Who knew that such a simple flower,
Could bring so much importance?
