It makes you think,
This rose.
It almost holds the gateway,
To a new life,
Or an old death.
For what are roses,
Best used for?
An elegant boquet,
For a fresh rebirth,
Or a new begining,
Starting with a white dress-
Or,
A depressing halo
Of tears
And mourning,
Ending with a casket.
How powerful it must feel,
To lead the way,
Holding the hands
Of life
And death
Itself.
