"She had blue skin,
And so did he.
He kept it hid
And so did she.
They search for blue
Their whole life through,
Then passed right by—
And never knew." -Shel Silverstein

Kassie Rose POV

After me and Cory were done with our work out I was sweating and panting. This was the usual. Cory had his arm slung around my shoulder and we were laughing uncontrollably. He said some stupid thing that burst his ego and I attempted to kick him in the balls. I kicked him in the balls then he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. Now we were walking back to the dorm getting weird looks as we laughed our arses off.

We acted like two pees in a pod. We just met but he made communicating with him super easy. It was almost like talking to Aspen. I've never opened up like this to anyone and I'm scared. But I'm happy. He hasn't asked or pushed for information out of me. Granted, why would he? I'm just another girl to him.

Another girl. A girl without a story. A blank slate. A nobody.

That's depressing to think about.

During this train of thought we both just stopped laughing. We walked back into the dormitory building. My mind swarmed with thoughts.

'I made this awkward did I?'

'Stupid.. stupid.. stupid..'

'You always find a way to mess things up Kas. Get your life together.'

We finally make to our stop. He lifts his arm from around my shoulder which leaves me slightly cold.

'Oh please get over yourself'

"Cya." He said and left but before he could go I had a burst of energy. I swear I'll regret his later.. "thanks. For being friends with me."

He looked slightly hurt but he rubbed it off and gave me a big dimply smile.

"The pleasure is all mine."

Then we went our separate ways.

I went inside the dorm and let it a huff in frustration. I look over at Aspen to see that she is sprawled over her bed. I smile at her while she sleeps soundly. She looks like a mess but a controlled mess if that makes sense.

I look over at the clock and see that it's 2pm. How long was I out with Cory?

I run over to aspen and hop onto her bed landing on her back. She lets out a small yelp but shoved me to the floor while I stifle a laugh.

"There is a party tonight. It's only a few blocks down so we can walk but it's gonna be pretty 'lit' as a guy in my class said." Aspen said as she got out of bed- finally. She walks over to me and basically shakes my shoulders begging me to go to this party. She knows I don't like going around people but she's just trying to get me out there. "Fine." I say as I huff and pick out an outfit and get out of my sweaty sports bra. I grab jeans and a black crop top which shows a bit of my tan. I also grab a plaid shirt to go over the crop top. I pick up my white sneakers and head to the bathroom.

-FOUR HOURS LATER-

"You ready?" Aspen said as she plops her butt on my bed tapping away at her phone. Her acrylic nails type away at her phone furiously. As I lift my head form my book. I've been reading for hours now while Aspen was texting someone. I can only guess who at this point. She has so many numbers that it could be anyone . But by the by the blush that lines her cheeks I could take a good guess and say it was Ryder. Those two hit it off and they sneed to be getting somewhere. I really hope he wasn't just using her. If he was then he could kiss his life goodbye in a heart beat. I would most likely skin him alive and feed him to a pack of wild bears. That's just the subtle option. I would much rather-
