Kassie Rose POV

Let's talk about life being a bitch, shall we? I swear life is just like some cliche high school musical parody that slaps you in the face just when you're least expecting it. Am I wrong?

Cory and I arrive to class in a fit of undying laughter. Girls give me snotty glares and adjust their breast in their bras. Disgusting, I swear half the girls here most likely have implants. I'm not overreacting. It's the just utter truth.

"Hey ladies," Cory says as he unlinks his arm from around my shoulder. I give him a supportive pat on the back and a soft chuckle as I walk over to the corner of the room and start stretching slightly ogling all the shirtless boys. What? I'm a teenage girl what do you expect? Fairytales and rainbows? Nope. Magic Mike is more like it.

Okay, I really need to stop and get my act together. I start to stare straight down at the ground and continue stretching on the floor. A lot of the other dancers are stretching as well now because this is actually the time to stretch. Not just the time to 'convince Cory to take your number'.

Then we hear a slow clap omit from the front of the room as our dance teacher arrives. She has wrinkles that compliment her somehow. How she manages to make aging look like the most angelic thing beats me. She has a dancers body yet her slight wrinkles and light blonde hair indicates she's around fifty-ish years old. Okay. that might be a little weird to presume someone's age but hey- why not?

All heads dart to the front of the room as she starts to speak.

"As you may or may not know, hello. I am Ms. Jewler and I am your dance mentor, teacher, choreographer, mother, whatever you wish to call me. Just know that I will make this year exciting and hopefully fun. This year won't miss a beat!" She laughed at the end of her little introductory speech. Everyone got up from where they were and started to walk towards the front of the class awaiting her next instruction. I swear they all followed her like lost puppies.

I put on a blank face as we listened to what she had to say next. I predict that out of the kindness of her heart we will be given dance groups. Also, by me being the luckiest person alive, I will be stuck with Cory and another snotty girl and just some other people. If I'm right I swear I will explode.

"Now, each of you is going to get a dance group. Isn't that fun?" She says as she claps her hands enthusiastically. I had to refrain from rolling my eyes at her over joyed enthusiasm. I heard several grunts from people in the crowd of dancers. They get me.

There will several giggles and squeals from girls and statements along the lines of, 'Yay! I might get to be with Cory' and 'I will fight anyone who gets to be with Cory'and 'Maybe I'll have a chance with him...'. I swear all these girls act like kindergarteners and he is their new toy. Actually, more like a dog and a bone. They get slobber all over him and fight over him.

Now, I'm scared for my safety around these wild girls. I swear they will rip me apart just for talking to him.

"Now. I have already assigned teams." She said as she reached for a clipboard which has a pile of papers on it. I heard distinct groans from the same girls who were squealing earlier. Pathetic.

"Team number 1, Justine Dickstein, Carlos Evens, Jesse Sawyer, Ria Mary, and Austin Zau"

The four people met with each other and started walking towards a corner with each other chatting away.

A few more teams were called until the final team was called.

"Team number 8, Fionna Benson, Ruby Collins, Cory Mason- STOP YOUR SCREAMING, Kassie Rose, and finally Jake Usher." She said as she dropped the clipboard on the floor to get the scrambling girls' attention.
