I'd paid almost no mind to my shadow the whole time I was getting my hair done. I looked down and gave her an apologetic look. She crossed her arms in response. It wasn't out of the ordinary for her to overreact, so I let her be. Besides, she didn't seem to upset. If she was, she would've flown off by now.

I wondered around the streets for awhile. Wondering where my friends homes were, and, if I ever found one, if they would mind if I stayed there for a few nights. I didn't really think this through. I had no place to stay and had no idea where anything was. I might as well have traveled to a whole different world.

Just as I was starting to think this was the worst idea I'd ever come up with, a voice rang out from behind me.

"Well, 'ello there Pan!" the voice's Scottish accent bounced across the alley I was walking down.

"I'm quite afraid that you've mistaken me," I said turning around to face who ever had spoken to me. There stood a boy around my age, 16 or 17, with dark hair and sliver-ey blue eyes. He was dressed in red and held a hook in his left hand. He looked surprised, but I'm not sure if it was surprise at my accent or that I was whoever he was, or perhaps wasn't, looking for.

"Mistaken? Oh no, darlin', I'm not mistaken," he said with a giant grin on his face. He inched himself forward, coming closer to me. "I heard your friend back there, Mal, telling little ol' Dizzy Tremaine about a lass named Pandora Pan. Yeah, she, uh, ran off and wished herself over here. Of course, she had to stop and get her hair done first," the boy pushed my hair out of my face with his hook.

"It seems your well informed, but unprepared," I said before slamming my fist down on his wrist, causing him to let go of his hook. I grabbed it before it hit the ground, although I had expected my shadow to swoop up and grab it before I had.

"Alright, darlin', go on and give it back like a good girl," The boy extended his hand out, gesturing for me to give it back.

"I think I'll be keeping this," I turned around to continue walking, only now realizing that the alley was a dead end. I looked down at my shadow, hoping she had an idea. If she did, she wasn't making it very clear to me. She almost looked like she was struggling. I shook my foot, trying to get her to stop messing around, to which she also lifted her foot. Alright then, play your games, shadow, I'll figure something out myself.

"Havin' a bit of trouble there, love?" I felt the boy's hand grasp my collar. He yanked me backwards, so my back was against him.

"Not one bit," I lied.

"Oo! This is pretty," He reached around me and grabbed my necklace.

"It would like prettier if you got your grubby little fingers off of it," I replied.

"You see, I can't do that unless I get my hook back. A fair trade, darlin'?"

"A fair trade, indeed," I started, "But, I'd also like to know who you are. I seem to be at a disadvantage of information here," he had said he heard about me from Mal, which didn't make much sense, she was back in Auradon. But, he did know my name and that I'd came here from Auradon.

"I am Hook, Harry Hook. Now hand over my hook, " he said, taking his hand off my collar and extending it in front of my face.

"Only if you let go of my necklace, darlin'," I said, mocking his accent. I waved his hook over his hand, waiting for him to stop clutching the dream catcher charm that Dizzy made. When he did, I returned his hook and moved away from him.

"Oh, Pan, you might be a fun girl to have around," he winked at me.

"Let's go with might not, instead," I replied and jumped on top of an old dumpster. From there I leaped for a rusting fire escape that half the ladder had broken off of. "Ta, ta, Hook!" I called down at him attempting to be sarcastic. I was hanging off of the side of the fire escape's platform and gave him a little farewell wave. I heard him chuckle as he shook his head started to walk off.

"I'll get you, Pan!" he yelled at me as I climbed onto the building's roof top, which made me a good 4 stories above the ground.

"We'll see about that, Hook!" I leaned over the side of the building to see him walk down the street and into a building with a sign that read Ursula's Fish and Chips.

He didn't seem like too bad of a guy. Of course, he was a bad guy, he was a villain after all. Harry Hook, like Captain James Hook? That must of been his father. How ironic that one of the first people I meet is the son of my father's enemy.

Did that make it wrong to think he was ruggedly handsome? Probably. But, it's not like he had threatened or hurt me. In fact, I was the one who stole from him in the first place. So, I was actually the bad guy. I suppose that's a bit ironic too, the villain kid wasn't the one being the villain.

I had other things to be thinking about, and Hook's voice echoing through my mind wasn't helping. Well, I suppose it was as it was something he said that I was wondering about. He heard Mal talking to Dizzy about me. Which meant Mal was on the Isle, but how did she get here? And why was she here? Hopefully not looking for me, although she must have known I was here if she was telling Dizzy about me. Did that mean the others were here, too? Oh, I've just ended up with more questions then answers.

I gazed out at the sunset. It was a beautiful mix of orange and red. Causing me to once again think of Harry Hook, he had been dressed in red leather, after all. I kicked at the ground, noticing my shadow mimicking me.

"Very funny," I said aloud to her, "What's your deal, today?"

She responded by jerking upwards, well upwards for her as she was flat against the ground. Almost like she was trying to jump, but she didn't move her feet.

"What? I don't know what you mean," I told her, and then it hit me. She was stuck to me, like when my dad sowed his shadow to his feet. She stayed right where the sun cast her, not flying across walls or the ground. That must have been because of the magic barrier, she couldn't leave where shadows were meant to be and I'd bet she couldn't touch or be touched by people anymore. That was the magic aspect of my shadow, but, because she was still around, that meant she was alive and not just a magic spell.

"I'm sorry, you'll just have to deal with being attached to me for now. I'll figure something out," I apologized to her. She nodded in response. Then my stomach growled and she rubbed her stomach, agreeing that I should get some food. And, conveniently, I knew about a great place called Ursula's Fish and Chips.
