Come On, Let's Work Together -Kuhlman
........................
Amanda and I walk through the door and into the hallway. As we continue to walk, something makes a loud noise in the distance as though someone or something knocked something over.
Amanda and I look at each other as Kuhlman says through the speakers around us, "Keep moving. The area you're in was for our more unstable patients, those who had trouble adapting to deep space. Tragic cases. Don't worry, they're all long gone."
We walked further down the hall and I pick up a map for the area as Amanda says, "Just tell us where to go, Kuhlman." We continue to walk and I see a man's body laying on a gurney and we were about to continue walking til Kuhlman stopped us.
"No, no. Wrong way." I look over seeing a small room that I realized was for ones that were out of their minds and could do harm to others so they lock them up in there. "This place had such promise when I first came here. It's a tragedy. A waste of my talents." Kuhlman says as we continue to go our way.
We walk into a dining room as Kuhlman continues to speak. "Tragic, tragic cases. Far from the rhythms of Earth, sunrise, sunset... the mind has a tendency to wander. Tragic cases, but Morley wasted far too much time on coddling them. They should never have come here. None of us should."
"Yeah, but we kinda can't change that." I say and Amanda nods as we walk into another hallway. "That's right. Along that corridor." He says and we walk forward towards a door. Amanda uses the Security Access Turner on it which opens the door to Morley's office.
"You're there. That's Morley's office. The passcode should be in there somewhere." Kuhlman says and Amanda walks towards the Terminal as I look around the office. A skeleton stood in a corner, trash and papers were scattered all over the floor, and a coffee machine sat on a counter.
"Have you found the passcode? Look, we'll need the physical keycard too. Morley always kept it on him. Find him." Kuhlman says as Amanda gets off the Terminal. Immediately red lights began to flash and Kuhlman says, "Relax. I'm just trying to find out what that is. You focus on finding that keycard."
"Shit." I say as we walk out of Morley's office. We walked into the now familiar hallway, but as we were going to go back, the thing that was covering the ceiling vent in front of us fell onto the floor.
Amanda and I freeze as I hear the familiar hiss and the creature's tail dropped down from the vent. Amanda and I quickly rush towards a gurney knowing that was the only hiding place there was nearby as I hear the creature crawl out of the vent and land on the floor.
It looks around before walking away and I take out the Motion Tracker knowing we need it now more than ever. I also quickly look at the map seeing that the room Morley's keycard is just beside us. Only thing we need to do is take a left and go forward.
Amanda and I slowly crawl out from beneath the gurney and I check the Motion Tracker seeing it was a bit far away from us, but still close. Amanda and I slowly walk down the hall as I watch the Motion Tracker with my life as Amanda looks around for the door.
When we get close to the door, I see the creature in the distance and my heart begins to beat out of control. Amanda notices the creature, but there was no hiding places nearby. So we quickly run back and hide behind the same gurney waiting for it to disappear.
