A/N: I wasn't supposed to post this yet, but I got this idea and I had to write it because it has a little to do with Seb's birthday. My baby boy is 35... He ages like fine wine, though (oh my lord....) So I wrote this in one sitting, wanted to post this as close to Seb's bday as I could. It's currently 3am on 14th but... close enough? Hope you like this LAST PART FOR BUDDIES. *sob* I got some inspiration from (the ideas from you guys ofc but also) the episode First Time in New York from How I Met Your Mother.

Warning: just a whole lotta fluff. Also, I didn't read through this one (again.. sorry) so, i'm sure there are some mistakes, I'll fix them tomorrow.

There are different stages when it comes to telling someone you love them.

First, there is the stage when you think you love them.

For you, that time was when you and Sebastian had fought before you finally gave into your feelings. Back then, you thought you might had loved him but of course you weren't ready to say it. It wasn't purely that you hadn't been ready at that time, you had genuinely doubted whether you loved him or not.

Then comes the stage when you think you know it.

That stage was followed the previous one a couple months into the relationship. Sebastian took you to a family friend's wedding. You two mingled with the other guests, you even met his mother. That was the very first time he introduced you to her as his girlfriend which already made you feel all giddy. Getting to know his mother had been nerve-racking to you but when you got to know her, you realized you had nothing to worry about. She was a nice person, welcomed you with open arms.

Of course Sebastian stuck by you the entire event. He held your hand when he noticed you getting anxious, whether it was the crowd of people or Sebastian's friends asking you too many questions. He held your hand and you immediately relaxed, giving him a small smile to tell him how much you appreciated him being there for you.

When the wedding was nearing its end, Sebastian took you to the dance floor. You two danced to the rhythm of the slow song, arms wrapped around each other. Your eyes were closed as your head was resting on his shoulder, his arms wrapped loosely around your waist.

You pulled back just enough to look into his eyes. He smiled at you, flashing those pearly whites as he gazed down at you lovingly. The gaze made you feel warm and safe, like nothing in the world would harm you in any way as long as you looked into his beautiful bright eyes.

Suddenly the lights seemed like they were fading everywhere else but on you two, as if it was only the two of you in the whole wide world. Everyone else seemed to fade away, even the music sounded muffled in your ears. You stared up at him, the only thing you could hear was your own heart beating hard in your chest.

"Are you okay?" Sebastian asked in concern.

You blinked a couple of times, realizing you must have zoned off. Maybe it was the cheesy love song playing in the background and the whole wedding atmosphere but suddenly you felt different. Good different...

"I'm great," you answered, genuinely smiling before pulling him down by the collar of his shirt and kissing him softly. "So great."

Then, there is the moment when you know you know it but can't quite say it.

That moment struck when Sebastian was away filming while you stayed at his place. He had given you a spare key to your apartment which you used probably more than your own key. Being in his house made you feel cozy, the house had practically been like your second home for much longer than you two had made things official.
