Melody stood straight up, her eyes wide in fear. She turned to see a fuming Jaime standing in the doorway. Thinking quickly, Melody ran over and pulled Jaime into the room, closing the door behind her. "So this is why you spend so much time with your guard," Jaime said, looking at Melody, who frowned. "I can't believe you would throw your lot in with him. You are engaged to me, Melody."

Sandor wanted to say something, anything, but he knew Melody needed to say what was on her mind. "I resent what you're implying, Jaime. Yes, I just kissed Sandor, but it was the one time and that's it! Nothing before today and it won't happen again. I know I am engaged to you, believe me, I know. And so does Sandor. He was the one who broke off the kiss."

Jaime wrapped an arm around her, pulling her to his side before glaring at Sandor. "I forgive you, Melody. This man is twice your size, it's not like you could fight him off anyway." Melody narrowed her eyes. He hadn't listened to a thing she'd just said. Sandor finally got off the bed, towering over Melody and Jaime. "You're fired, Mr. Clegane. And you are never to contact my fiancée again," Jaime said, his voice cold. He certainly wasn't going to let the Hound come in between him and his fiancée, not matter how much he didn't want the marriage.

"Fiancée," Sandor spat out. He'd had enough. "Ya don't deserve ta marry her. Ya don't know a thing about her." Jaime rolled his eyes. "I certainly know more about her than you do." Sandor arched a heavy brow. "Really? Did ya know her favorite color is red? Not just because it's a nice color. She likes it because it's the color of passion. Did ya know she wanted ta act on the stage? Or that she dreams of teachin' others the same? Did ya know that she doesn't like sugar in her tea? She prefers honey."

Melody and Jaime just stared at him. Melody felt more tears. She couldn't believe he knew so much about her, or that he remembered it all. "Go collect your belongings, Mr. Clegane. I will have Stannis set you up in a hotel until after the wedding. Then my father than deal with you." Jaime moved Melody away from Sandor and used his free hand to gesture toward the door. Sandor took a look at Melody's face and saw the pain there.

Knowing there was nothing he could do, Sandor moved to walk past the couple. Melody's hand shot out and touched his arm. "Please...don't." Sandor's resolve almost crumbled. He refused to look back. He knew that she was crying and it broke his heart. He knew that he if looked at her face, he would get himself into even more trouble, probably go to jail for assault. Instead, he gently removed her hand and left the room.

As soon as Sandor was out of sight, Melody whirled on Jaime. "How could you do that?! You selfish son of bitch!" Jaime waited for her to stop screaming at him. "Look, Melody, we cannot afford for either one of our families to look bad and an affair with your body guard looks bad on both of us. You wouldn't want Stannis to lose the race now, would you? He'd probably never forgive you."

"I hate you," Melody told him through clenched teeth, but Jaime simply shrugged. "You aren't the only one. Now, you shall have a new guard in the morning. I shall tell your brother you aren't feeling well after so much excitement at the shower so he won't expect you for dinner. Goodnight, Melody." With that, he left, following after Sandor.

When the door closed behind Jaime, Melody picked up the nearest object and threw it at the door followed quickly by another. The vase and her hairbrush both broke upon impact. Melody was panting with rage when the door opened again and Davos came through. "Miss-what happened in here?" Melody looked at the older man and broke down, sobbing.

Davos' eyes widened. He quickly entered the rest of the way and closed the door. "What is it?" Melody told him everything that had happened, pleased to get it off her chest. "Sounds like you really love that man." Melody nodded. "Of course I do." Davos kissed her temple. "Then I think ya need to talk to Stannis again." Melody shook her head, knowing it would be pointless. "I've tried. For months. He won't budge." Davos shrugged. "It'll work out, Melody." He bid her goodnight and left.

The next morning, Melody woke up feeling a little better. At least until she opened her door and saw that Sandor wasn't there. In his place was a tall woman with platinum blonde hair. "Good morning. Who are you?" The blonde smiled slightly. "I'm Brienne, Miss Baratheon."

Brienne wasn't a bad guard. She was kind and did her job well, but she didn't fill the void in Melody's life the way Sandor had. Not that Melody really had a chance to find out. She was so busy with last minute wedding planning details. Three weeks flew by and before Melody even knew it, it was the night before the wedding. After the rehearsal dinner, Jaime had disappeared.

That didn't really bother Melody. She didn't care that her fiancé had gone up to his room after the dinner. What bothered her was that her maid had disappeared as well. That was the only reason she was even considering bothering Jaime. Maybe he would know where Dotty was.

So, Melody made her way up the stairs toward Jaime's room, Brienne following behind her as always. Melody got to Jaime's door and, after knocking once, opened it. Melody froze on the spot. There, in the middle of the bed, in the throes of passion, were Jaime and Dotty.
