Genet - Sanitorium Grounds - 01:03
Finally, I reach the huge, stone building. It just about towers over me, unlike most buildings. Obviously, I'm shorter than basically all buildings, but this one just gives me an uneasy feeling. It's just worn down and clearly dated. Windows are broken with their glass scattered around in the snow. The pale, almost sickly, moonlight doesn't help either. Besides that, the whole building is surrounded by a crumbling rock wall.
I spot something and immediately duck behind the wall. Looking around the edge, I spot the feet of the stranger and hear some growling. I manage to peek around again and spot a pair of wolves - light grey and dark grey respectively. I grunt as I begin to climb the wall, jumping down as soon as I reach the top. A howl then echoes throughout the sky, so I quickly try to make my way inside. I only stop to look at a sign with "CONDEMNED" written on it. Great.
Probably shouldn't open the front door. If the building's condemned, it's probably locked, plus, I am not getting caught by whoever that guy is with the wolves. I plan, stumbling upon a small entrance with a cover over it. I smile and climb in, jumping down with a grunt.
Swiftly, I scan the area, spotting a ledge and a metal barrel near by. I push that over and climb on top of it to the ledge. While crawling around, I notice a hole through the concrete ceiling. I gradually raise my head and look around at the extremely tall room encasing the hole. I'm about to climb up when I spot that guy and his wolves again. He's just feeding the wild animals like it's a completely normal thing. Eventually, the man leaves, with his pets following him moments later.
Once again, I climb onto the top of the concrete ground. The room is astonishing. Its floor holds some small piles of rubble and stone around it. I walk away to look at where the weird wolf guy is going. I try opening the door once he's gone, but it doesn't work. I decide to just walk over and check out the area to the left with the word "admin" plastered on top of the doorway. It's a fairly dark room compared to the rest of the building, but it's not going to kill me, so I walk in.
The room is filled with rust, dirt, and dust, much like the rest of the building. There isn't much in the area, but I do find a safe with a stake near by. I decide to finish what whoever else started and prop open the metal cabinet. There are just a bunch of clocking-in cards. I toss them back and continue looking around.
I also come across a black camera with the lens cracked in the front. I frown and put it back down, trying not to think of Evelyn and all the pictures she was taking.
I begin to adventure around the place a bit more after I exit the Administration room. I don't spot anything particularly interesting, so I begin walking down some stairs.
The staircase leads to a gritty hallway. I wander down it and discover a partially opened door with a machete stabbed into a table and some gore. A bird in the room caws and flies away. "Ew." I murmur while I open the door and grab the weapon, promptly slipping it into my pocket.
In the next room, there's a moving arm in the middle of the room with a note attached. For feeding the wolves? I think, walking away.
I continue walking down the walls and find a room full of chains, metal, and stone. Every now and then, an area is stained in blood. I walk over to a door with a sign beside it reading, "Chapel Security Pass Required." I groan and begin looking around in cabinets.
As I open it, I notice there's a tray. Is this a body drawer? I wonder. I pull out the tray and find a name tag resting on it. "Nicholas Bowen" it reads. Skimming along, I find, "Attacker by an inmate; fatal lacerations to throat." Am I in a morgue?
