Scendosos

I climbed onto the snake and heard a hiss close by. The ceiling of the hallway started to illuminate in a bright reddish color. I turned slowly to my right and saw the snake staring right at me. I fumbled onto my back as the snake moved its body, getting ready to launch at me. More spears flew from the room I recently exited from. Suddenly I snake stopped at showed its fangs to the natives running towards the door. Hopefully snake soup is much better than stewed Fin. I got back up and started to search my pockets for my wand. Why am I remembering just now that I can do magic? Failing to find my wand I made a run towards the snakes head. Well world, I'm about to save cannibals so you better help me with my date. The snake launched at the cannibals while they were throwing more spears and started to shoot darts. The snake's eye started to glow red and it slowly opened its jaws. I stopped running and froze. Don't tell me-. My thoughts were cut off by a fireball coming out of the snake's mouth. Is a giant snake not hard enough already world? It launched a fireball at me. I dashed to the side but wasn't quick enough. My elbow of my uniform was ignited in flames. I threw it down and looked around for a get away. Sadly, I trapped myself by luring this ginormous snake into a one way hallway.

"Well, it was nice growing up. I think my biggest regret is not getting out of the room with her", I told myself.

As I was about to accept my death I heard the sound of water. At first the sound was like a trickling of water but now the sound is getting bigger and bigger. Did that centaur just caste a water base magic? Suddenly I could see a huge amount of water rushing towards my way while filling the whole hallway like a tidal wave. That idiot is trying to drown me! I was caught in the flood and everything went dark. I couldn't breathe or hear anything.

"Fin! Fin!", a voice echoes in the darkness.

I woke up startled and noticed that I was back in my room. Was that a dream? I looked to my left and there she was with the child behind her.

"Fin, you numb skull. You had me worried", she started.
"Sorry, I can't remember what happened", I replied.
"Mrs. Elvesveeb found you floating near a water fall not far from hear", she said.

That stupid half donkey was actually planning to drown me! Wait, what happened to the snake?

"Was there anything else there?", I asked.
"No", she replied.
"Are you sure?", I asked again.
"What else are you expecting?", she asks.
"Something with scales and slithers but half the size of Mr. Archimedes", I replied.
"Wait, you mean there's another dragon?", she asks with fear in her eyes.
"Are you scared of Mr. Archimedes?", I asked her.
"No, just the thought of more creepy looking dragons staring at me", she replies.
"Good point, so who's the kid?", I finally asked.
"Come on", she says while pushing the boy softly towards me, "introduce yourself".
"....."
"Oh, I'm Fin. What's your name?", I asked him.
"Alfaro Medarn", he replied.
"It's nice to meet you", I said as I extend my arm out to him.

He retreats back to Saphire.

"He's still a bit shaken up", she says.
"Oh, I'm sorry", I said.
"It's ok, I'll take him to the headmaster and come back to tell you what's happened so far", she says, "but for now you should rest as much as you can".
"O...ok", I stuttered, "thank you", I said as my cheeks felt like it was hot.
"No problem", she said while her soft, shiny looking lips formed a smile.

I felt my heart skips beats while everything seemed to slow down.
