Since him and Andy didn't end up working out together, Joe decided to call into work and tell them he's coming in earlier then planned.

Joe ended up coming into work half an hour early, but he didn't care. He just needed to take his mind off the fact that he probably blew his chance with the guy he's had a crush on for the past two months.

He probably shouldn't have hurt Andy's buddy, but you can't just have someone say something like that and let them get away with it.

He sighs as he walks into work. Hopefully the customers will take his mind of things.

Joe likes his job, he's been working here fir years, and even though it is troublesome and hectic sometimes, he still loves it.

Joe didn't have the money or time for college so he ended up working here after highschool.

He worked at the music shop by his apartment building for about a year and a half before he joined Brendon over here, where the two became friends. But since Joe has worked here for so lon, he knows most of the regulars that come in here.

Including Josh and Tyler who just walked in.

He walks up to their table as soon as they sit down. He might have seemed creepy since he came over to them right away, but he was too desperate to get his mind off things to care.

"Josh your hair!" Joe exclaims, looking at the other mans buzzed cut hair.

"Yup! The yellows all gone" he says, rubbing the top of his head.

"Now he's a beautiful egg" Tyler buds in with a grin.

They all share a few laughs and talk for a bit before Joe took their orders, not that he really had to ask what they wanted, they almost always order the same thing.

He walks to the back of the counter and into the kitchen only to find a wild Brendon.

"You're here early" he states, slightly surprised. "Didn't you tell me you were going to work out with Andy today?"

Joe walks past him to work on the orders, he knew Brendon would follow so he starts to explain while he walks. "Let's just say things didn't go as planned."

He starts making Josh and Tyler's coffees, they didn't want anything to eat, because they said they were going to go to taco bell later and were going to eat there.

"What do you mean?" He asks, being the snoopy Brendon that Joe has learned to love.

"Do your job, Bren, my personal life is none of your business" he walks past the taller man with the two freshly made coffees.

He walks up to the two boys and give them their drinks. They both thank him and give him a generous tip.

He walks back over to Brendon. There wasn't really anything else to do. As of this moment the coffee shop was pretty much empty, The only customers in the shop being Josh and Tyler.

"Spill" Brendon says as soon as he walks up to him. Putting his elbow on the counter and resting his chin on his knuckles waiting for Joe to talk.

Said man groans in annoyance. "why do you want to know?"

"I've been waiting a whole month for you two to finally start getting together. Now spill" he begs.

He sighs, knowing he's not gonna leave him alone until he tells him. "I made a gay joke and his buddy got upset that I liked guys, and he used the f slur so I punched him and kneed him in the balls and Andy didn't like that, so we got in an argument and now I'm here" He blurts out quickly. His speech might have slurred a little bit since he was talking so fast, but Brendon's used to it.

"Well you can't just let him go like that! I ship the hell out of you two and you're not allowed to just leave it like that" Brendon exclaims. Standing up straight

"Don't you think I know that. I've only hung out with him a few times but he gives me butterflies and makes me blush and all that other cheesy shit" Joe looks down at the ground and shakes his head.

"If he likes you as much as you like him then trust me, he will march through that door at 10:45 just like every other day" Brendon tells him pointing at the door.

Jesus, when did Joe's life turn into a badly written fan fiction?

He sighs and looks back at the younger boy. "I hope you're right about this Bren."

He checks the time on my phone. 10:23, he still have 22 minutes.

A ring signals from the front door near by seconds later.

Nevermind.

Joe turns around slowly, pretty convinced that he was just hearing things at first. He turns to see a flustered looking Andy, and is that... a bruise on his face?
