    Jade

It's been three months since I have killed my father. I've been functioning like a zombie ever since. I couldn't feel anything anymore. It was pure numbness. I got up, I ate, I stared at a wall, then I went to bed. My brothers try getting to me, but it doesn't work. Nothing will work.

I stare at the ceiling as my brothers are speaking quietly in the other room. They were going on a raid and they needed me, they said. I turned onto my side, awaiting for morning to come.

I woke around 7 am. I got up, changing into some black jeans and a tank top with a sweater over it. I pulled my long hair into a high ponytail, shifting my katana properly on my back. I pulled on some black combat boots and waited for my brothers to get ready as I sat on the leather couch.

About 5 minutes later they came out of their rooms, fully dressed with their weapons at their sides. "You overheard us talking?" Our oldest brother, Ray, asked. I nodded slowly. We left the house,  walking for about 2 hours until we found an abandoned warehouse. We entered the warehouse slowly.

"Maybe we should split up." Ray, my oldest brother said.

"Are you kidding me!? No! That's an absoloutley horrible idea, Ray! We're not going to be like those people in horror movies that split up and end up getting killed!" My other brother, Max, said. I grinned at Max, completely agreeing.

We searched the warehouse, finding some food to last us about a month and plenty of amo for our supply of guns. I found some chinease daggers, lots of them actually. There was a box full. I found some cool black-leather biker gloves that have the fingers cut off. I found an Axe, too.

We made our two-hour trip back to the cabin and put everything in our bags. We had bags since we never know when we had to pick up and leave.

I changed quickly into some sweat pants and a t-shirt. I pulled on some vans also. My brother came into my room. "Me and Max are going to go check out a small shed not far from here we discovered. It's only about 10 minutes away. Are you okay here?" I nodded. They gave me a quick hug. "You stay inside of here and lock those doors. Only open if it's us." I nodded again, rolling my eyes. "Just go check it out, I'll be fine." I said, jumping onto the couch. They nodded and left. I looked out the window until I saw the entered the woods. I grinned.

I ran into my room, pulling on black fitted jeans and a elbow-cut flannel. I sliped into my black combat boots and put my hair into a high ponytail once more. I put on my belt that had my holster and small pockets all around it for daggers. I slipped my Chinease daggers into the pockets that were there, also putting my Python in the holster. I slung Katana's shealth onto my shoulder, that had my trusty Katana in it.

I made sure the coast was clear, and I ran out of the back porch and into the woods. I slowed down until I was good enough from the house and started wandering around.

The woods had always been my favorite place. It was so calm, and how sometimes the sun's rays would come through the peaks and gaps of the trees.

I got deeper into the woods, and I heard a couple of moans and groans. I turned on my heel, sliding my katana from its shealth.

I held it in position, as the walkers were clearly not interested in me. I ran up to one, chopping its arms and jaw off with a jerk of my katana. I did the same to the other Walker. Now that they were safe, I untied some thin rope from my belt. I tied each of the walkers around it, making my own sort of leash.

Shealthing my katana, I held the walkers leash in my right hand firmly. I began to walk, happy with the result as they followed me. As I walked, the only thing I heard were the groans from the walkers behind me.

I wandered a little bit furthur until I heard a twig break. I turned only me heel, to be greeted by a gun to my forhead.

"Who are you?" A man with slicked back, salt and pepper hair asked me.

I grinned, looking up at the man's blue iris.

"I'm Jade. Who are you?"

"Rick. Rick Grimes." He put the safety back on his gun, before putting it back in his belt holster.

"Nice to meet you." I said plainly. The walkers were groaning behind me. I rolled my eyes and my eyes averted to one man and one boy walking towards us. I stood my ground, eyeing them both down. One had a cross-bow, the other a sherrifs hat.

The one with the Sherrifs hat had pretty blue eyes, just like Rick. I figured they were related. Rick waved a hand in my face.

"You alright there?" He asked, his brow raising. I had then noticed I had been staring at the boy my age.

"Wh- Yeah, Yeah I'm fine. You guys have a camp around here or something?" I say, looking back up to Rick.

"Not too far away, are you with anyone?" Rick asked me.

"My two brothers, but they're back at the hou-" I remembered, it's had to be hours since I left.

"Damnit!" I yelled, beginning to run, pulling the walkers behind me. I heard them running behind me too. About 5 minutes later or so, I arrived back at the cabin. I tied the walkers to a post, silently coming inside the house, the 3 men still trying to catch up to me.

I heard hushed crying and frantic whispering.

I peeked behind the wall, seeing my oldest brother, Ray, crying. He looked up, the same jade-green eyes I had were staring back at me. His gaze softened, but then hardened.

"Where in the living hell were you, Jade?!" He yelled. I was a bit taken back, Ray had never got so angry with me. I guess I could understand, though. During the apoclopypse and your younger sister went missing, I wouldn't know what exactly to do.

I shied, looking down at my battered and dirty black combat boots. I kept silent, slightly rocking on m heels.

"Answer me!" Ray yelled a bit louder, making me back away. Ray can sure be intimidating when he's angry.

"I went out into the woods. I didn't think I'd be so long, I met three guys on the wa-" I was cut off by a sharp pain on my cheek. I fell onto the ground at the sudden large amounts of pain flowing through my face. I held onto my cheek, my whole body shaking in fear.

Ray had slapped me.

My other brother, Max, had gotten up so fast the chair sqeaked and fell back.

He pushed Ray, looking into my eyes.

I was in shock. I didn't feel any emotions. I didn't feel sad, I wasn't hurt emotionally, I was angry.

I grit my teeth, getting up quickly. My shoes squeaked loudly on the tile. I looked Ray dead in the eye and say something I'd never think I'd say before this.

"I hate you."
