Chapter Ten: Liam Cares
Gabby's POV:
"I'm okay mom. I just tripped at the front porch." I said while walking towards the kitchen to get the ice bag.
My mom can't stop worrying. The good thing is, my mom is the only one home. Everybody went out to go to the park. Mom was left home because of me. I hugged my mom and went to bed.
It's 5:00 in the afternoon. I'm watching spongebob in my room while eating Doritos. My ankle still hurts so bad. I checked for it and the swelling is almost gone. Just then, my phone rang. It was Liam. I answered the phone and talked to him.
"Hello?"
"Are you okay?" Liam is worried. I can tell it because of his voice.
"Liam, I'm fine. Don't worry. The swelling is almost gone. I'll be fine in no time." I said. Smiling. Still pretending that everything is fine.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes I am, Mr. Payne. Liam, can I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"All the girls. Umm. Chasing us. I mean. All of you. Umm-"
"Oh that." He didn't let me finish my question.
"Don't mind that. We had a huge misunderstanding."
I smiled and told him that I want to rest. He agreed. I turned off my phone and started to close my eyes. Hours passed and I didn't even know that I slept.
When I woke up, I saw someone standing at end of my bed.
"Who ever told you that it's okay to sleep while eating Doritos? You might get ants on your bed."
It was Liam. Standing at the end of my bed holding a bag full of fries and burger. He's smiling and that made my heart melt. Liam knows how to make me smile. He walked towards me and checked my ankle.
"The ankle's fine, Liam." I smiled. He smiled back and gave me my burger.
"A BigMac? Who do you think I am? Niall?" we both laughed. We ate and I asked him,
"How did you get up here?"
He smiled and said that he knows my brother, Keith. He said that Keith is a good friend of his.
"Why don't you have some rest? I'll be here. Waiting for you to wake up." He said.
Liam really does care for me but I refused to sleep. All I want to do now is to stare at him and memorize the way he looks, his features and everything. I love having him around. It makes me feel safe.
"I promise that you'll be safe whenever I'm around. I won't let anything bad happen to you again." He said while he's staring at my eyes. He really does care for me and that makes me fall for him. But I know it's wrong. It's way to fast. It's just an infatuation.
