Chapter Sixteen: Gabby's Mini Recital

Gabby's POV:

I first played Canon by George Winston with Jewel. Then, Winter Sonata's My Memory, Endless Love, Winter Sonata's From the Beginning Until Now. And lastly, Love and Longing. While I'm playing it with Jewel, I looked at the boys and Mr. Rupert. Mr. Rupert is my piano coach. I know that he's so proud of me and Jewel. The boys' eyes were shining. Specially Liam's this is the first time I let somebody hear me play. I know Mr. Rupert and the boys are glad to hear me playing from my heart. Jewel smiled and me and whispered that, I'm amazing.

Liam's POV:

I'm staring at Gabby. Never minding Jewel and Mr. Rupert. I never thought that she's good at playing the piano.

"Gabby started playing the piano when she was three. She grew up here in Manchester. She was born here in Manchester. She grew up with Jewel and his two brothers. Among the three of them, Gabby is the only one who's intouched in music. She probably inherited it to her father, Fred. Grabby used to be here everyday. She stays here after school until seven in the evening. She's just practicing the piano with Jewel and I. When the clock strikes six, Jewel and Gabby will ran inside and play princess stuffs. Jewel is five years older than Gabby but Gabby managed to get along with Jewel even if Jewel tries to push her away sometimes. Gabby told me that I was his second father. During their recitals, Gabby would wear a pink princess style dress and her mom would put a tiara on her head. She'll smile and that what makes her happy. The love of her parents and the love of me and Jewel, surrounding her. While Jewel and Gabby are performing, they're look at each other like they're talking and then, they'll smile. Gabby plays through her heart. Her favorite music is Love and Longing. It was dedicated to her Little sister who died when she was still a baby. Gabby and her father will play that song whenever they misses her. That's why she gets so emotional whenever she's playing it. Gabby's so good at it. Isn't she? Gabby got awards. She even received a recognition from the King and Queen." Mr. Rupert smiled.

"WOW! Gabby really received that?!" Niall said.

"Yes she did. Ask her to let you all guys see her awards. She has one room full of it." Mr. Rupert Smiled.

"I will ask her. REALLY! She's really great!" Louis said.

"Why did she stopped if she's good at it?" Harry asked curiously.

I looked at Mr. Rupert. We all looked at him.

"Four years ago, Gabby's dad and her mom's brother, George had an accident while on their way home from Gabby and Jewel's recital. Her Uncle George died. Gabby needs to be in the US for her medication and never went back with her family. After the accident, Gabby's parents gave up Gabby's old piano for her to live. Their money is not enough to make Gabby live that's why they sold the piano. Gabby cried when she found out that her mom and dad sold her favorite white piano that was given to her by her Grandfather who lives here in Manchester. Gabby hated her parents so much. But Gabby's heart is way too soft that's why she later on forgave her parents. Gabby is great kid. She's kind, thoughtful, talented and caring. She loves the people around her. Just don't get her hurt. She won't stop crying until she got over it." Mr. Rupert ended the story, smiling at us. We looked back at Gabby and Jewel. I realized that Gabby doesn't really deserve me. My phone rang and I answered it. It was my mom.

"Liam, come home tomorrow. I miss you." My mom said. I replied yes indisposingly.

Gabby is done playing. After she played, she hugged me. She whispered, "the second song is for you." I smiled at her and hugged her back. After playing, we thanked Mr. Rupert and Jewel. We headed to the mall and had some walk. Gabby's doing fine after the accident. She wasn't really hit by the passing car. I saved her and we bumped to a lightpost. Hours passed by and we have to go home already. Gabby is sitting right next to Harry at the back because I was the one driving. Gabby fell asleep and her head fell into Harry's shoulder. I looked at Harry's face and it has that huge glow. Louis noticed that I was looking, so he grabbed Gabby's head carefully and placed it to his. Louis, Niall and Zayn are the only one I can trust with Gabby now. I know that Harry likes Gabby. No! Not liek. Harry loves Gabby so much.
