Disclaimer:

This story is purely fan-fictional. In the author's opinion, the ending of the original story is great. When Cheol Soo praised Soo Nee of how beautiful she really is after she's aged quite much, the author realized that pure love is limitless, despite of how much time has passed and how hurtful it must have been. Truthfully, Joong Ki's character in the story is really admirable. He is a great lover, despite how animalistic or monstrous he was or, as described by the officers and the main villain. I doubt that even a human would be able to love as much as he did. When Soo Nee left and continued her life, Cheol Soo lived his waiting for her to come back. Therefore, the idea of this alternate ending is not to criticise the movie ending, but rather to make their love come true, despite how notorious the idea of having a human and a werewolf loving each other is (The author's not a huge fan of sci-fi or fantasy stories, but this one managed to steal her heart, so KUDOS to the whole production!) And the fact that Cheol Soo was an experiment subject for the professor's study in creating a strong army made the story a whole lot more believable. Another reason is because the author wondered what would have happened if Soo Nee takes the chance to love the right person, (which was a pity - Soo Nee let that one go and choose to eat and wear what she wants, by marrying another man and raised children with him). In the end, the author figured that the mood of the story ending is regrets, in which the female protagonist expressed her guilt to the werewolf boy (who never seemed to age at all). So, the author strongly believes that this alternate ending attempts to fulfill Soo Nee's advice to her grandchild, or rather her regrets for not pursuing the chance she had to care for Cheol Soo deeply as "the lost time never returns."

(Background music is Return, by Lee Seung Gi.)

Soo Nee looked at her watch. The short hand was almost moving towards number 12. It was only a matter of a few seconds. In that matter of a few seconds too, she's going to complete her college life. Mrs Kim, her mother was really excited that she got into the University of Seoul, in which she managed to enroll in the TESOL programme which stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, pursuing English with literature as her minor under the sponsorship of a local writing company. With that being said, she would be entitled to a five-year contract with the company as a journalist upon her graduation.

On the other hand, literature, which was her most favourite subject at school, seemed to also provide her the platform to pour out her feelings and dark secrets.

It all started after she contracted the lung disease at the age of seven, just when she started finding the fun in going to the school with other children with the same age as hers, when suddenly on day she fainted during recess. Her parents came to school and took her to the hospital for some checkups.

It was then known to her as a fact that her lungs had a serious problem. It was the doctor's advice and her parent's strict parental concern that she should never step her foot at school again, and that she should prepare for exams only at home.

The doctor said the school's environment and the strict schedule might make her feel exhausted even after only half the day.

As for her, she believed that her only chance to go out of the home environment and make friends had just been shattered into pieces.
