The meet and greet

Bella's pov

I woke up and dreaded the day to come. Of course it is the day of the stupid meet and greet cause we don't usually get new people in this town.

"Ugh." I exclaimed as I made my way to my car. Lucy had not made it easy to sleep with all of her rolling around and kicking my bladder.

I picked up my phone and noticed 3 missed calls from Charlie. This is unusual cause its usually Rene who calls.

I dialed his number and he picked up on the second ring.

"Hello. Bella is this you?" Charlie asked. I could hear a strange emotion in his voice.

"Yeah dad it's me. Whats so important that made you call me?" I asked with growing suspicion.

"Bells it turns out that you are not an only child. You have a half sister and she is coming to visit me next month and I would like for you to meet her." Charlie sighed.

"Okay dad. I will. it will be good for you to see me before the baby is born anyway." a smile graced my face as I remembered that I only had 3 months till my baby is born.

"Okay bells. its late here so I have to go. see you in a month."

"Bye dad." I answered and clicked the end call button.

Running my hands threw my hair I breathed out " wow can't believe I'm not an only child."

With that I started my drive to work.

Edward pov

My family was getting ready for the whole meet an greet thing. I was not liking this decision since Alice and Carlisle where shielding there minds from me.
I looked over at the picture of me and Bella as I got ready and sighed. we had ruined her life for all I had known. Maybe this whole meet and greet thing will be good for me. it can help me forget.

"EDWARD STOP WITH THE SAD THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS WILL YA!" jasper yelled from down stairs.

"FINE" I yelled back.

'Yay this is going to be so fun' I heard from Esmes mind.

Lets get this over with, I thought as we all made out way to our cars.

Bella's pov

I had just got done with my hair and my dress was on when my phone beeped and signaled that it was time to go. I still didn't want to go but Felix was going to be there in the shadows. That made me feel a little better about this.

I drove to the center of town in silence. I parked my car and walked the half a block to the town square where music could be heard.

I mingled around everyone and the mayor tapped on a microphone and announced for us all to be quiet.

I slowly made my way up to the sides of the state since my employer said I was going to be speaking for the zoo.

The mayor started " It is not everyday that we get a new family here in Truen so when we do it is a day to celebrate. We have some speakers here with us so with a round of applause here is Isabella my daughter in law."

"Hello as most of you know in Bella. we welcome new families wwith open arms and warm hearts. we all look forward to meeting you and possibly building a friendship." I walked off the stage with that and was stopped by none other than Alice Cullen.

"Why hello Alice so nice to see you after 3 years. Such a shame that you left without saying a goodbye." I sneered out.

"So you do remember me? Yay we can be friends again!" She remarked. "Yiu need to come see that family. They missed you so much." with that she tugged me to her family.

"Bella?" Esme questioned.

"Yep in the flesh." I stated.
