CHAPTER 3
As I walk down the halls girls where going in their rooms and coming out in dresses or some sort of super cute outfit. There was a lot of chatter going on about Hayden, most of the conversations I overheard were ridiculous and most of them were not even true. I see some people cast sidelong glances my way but one flash of my grim smile made sure they stopped looking. At the center of the B8 hallway Hayden stood with girls and guys gathered around him. At the center of the crowd, by Hayden was Mira hanging onto every word he spoke. She was practically drooling over him; my earlier feeling of regret soon diminished and was replaced by disgust. Who would have thought that a respectable girl like Mira would fall into the trap of Hayden in less than an hour, it was shameful.
“I’ve never seen her like this.” A familiar masculine voice said from behind me.
I turned around and came face to face with Scott. Looking up at him I could tell right away what Mira saw in him. He had muscles lining his arms all the way from his shoulders to his hands. He had sandy blonde hair and baby blue eyes to finish up the look. Right now he had a see through white shirt on that clung perfectly to his body and traced every muscle in his chest. He had a necklace on that added to his manly looks.
I looked at Hayden and looked back at Scott. He didn’t stand a chance, Hayden was the perfect life form of what a girl imagines her boyfriend should look like, he looked as if he always lived inside a magazine. His faded blue jeans that formed his body drew attention to interesting places and even though I hated him deeply I couldn’t help but stare.
Scott, sensing my distraction sighed “Not you too Angel, I thought you had more taste than that.”
I forced my eyes away from Hayden and frowned up at Scott. “I do, I’m just trying to find out how much of a chance you have of getting Mira back. So far you have none.”
He looked crestfallen and for a second I wanted to go in the middle of that crowd and drag Mira back into Scott’s arms, but then again, it’s none of my business.
“That guy didn’t even lift a finger, all he did was existed and girls fall into his hand.” Scott exclaimed in an annoyed voice.
Getting tired of watching the disgusting scene unfold before my eyes I turn around and walk the other way. “Scott you can stay and watch your girlfriend drool over Hayden but I’m not about to stomach any more of this, you coming or what?”
With a nod of his head Scott followed me as I violently weave my way through the drooling girls.
“Angel!” a voice called.
I turned my head only to see Hayden beckoning me over to join his large group of doting girls.
“We have room for one more, you are welcome to join.” He says in a condescending voice, as if I would stoop as low as to become one of the girls doting over him.
Instead of replying I look him up and down and give him the bird.
He looked as shocked as everyone else.
I smiled cruelly and spin on my heels towards the cafeteria forgetting that Scott was behind me.
“For a girl, you sure can walk fast.” Scott says trying to catch his breath.
“Learn to keep up.” I say with an air of indifference.
