Everything has a way of working itself out

Liza.

Ren pulled away first. She looked back up at David who had a small smile on his face.

"We shouldn't have done that David."

"Come on, Ren. We both wanted it."

"What about Liza? You are still dating her, right?"

David looks at her for a second, nodded, and walked away. Ren watched him walk away. She already felt bad about what she did to Liza, and now she felt bad for what she said to David. It was just as hard for him as it was for her. If not harder for him.

"Why do you look so sad? And why did David walk away like that?"

Gabby. Ren hadn't even talked to Gabby that much. She knew she was a genuine person, everyone david hung with was. Ren knew she was nice, and supportive. But this was something she couldn't just tell anyone. It would be Kristen or Scotty, if she even told anyone.

"I just told him I wasn't feeling good and I was going back up to the room. He wasn't too happy about it."

Gabby smiled at her. "I'll walk with you up there! I've got to change anyway. Some asshole spilt there drink on me."

Gabby grabbed Rens hand and started walking in the direction Ren thought was the elevator. Scotty saw her and gave her a confused look. Ren just shrugged at him.

Pretty soon, they were back upstairs and in the room. Gabby had already changed and was getting some kind of medicine for Ren.

"Here. Take these and drink all that water. You'll feel better in the morning m, I promise."

"Thank you Gabby. You didn't have to do all this for me. You hardly even know me."

Gabby just smiled. "Your Davids friend. That makes you my friend."

Gabby walked out the room and Ren just sat there. She wasn't tired. She didn't even feel bad. Ren picked up her phone and went through Snapchat. Everything was fine until she came across a video on Heaths Snapchat. It was David and Liza sitting on a couch. They were having pictures taken of them and at the end they shared a kiss.

Ren felt herself tearing up. He's not your boyfriend. He kissed you because you were drunk. That's it. He doesn't like you. But the thought of him not actually liking her made her finally break. She cried for what felt like hours. Ren was still crying when she heard the door open. She looked up and saw Alex. He sat down beside her and rubbed her back while she cried.

"It'll be okay, Ren. You'll see. Everything has a way of working itself out in the end."

Ren knew she shouldn't be acting this way. She had known David for what? 3 weeks? A month? All she knew was that she hadn't known him long enough. Not to feel the way she thought she felt about him.

Rens words kept replaying in Davids head. Over and over he heard her voice. David didn't understand why he felt so sad about it. He knew they shouldn't have. He loved Liza. That's who he should be kissing. Liza. Not Ren.

"Hey babe. Where have you been?"

"I was talking to Ren. She went upstairs with Gabby."

David saw the look on Liza's face change. "I don't like her."

"Why not?"

Liza looked at him like he was stupid. " because she's like in love with you or something. I don't know. Haven't you noticed? It's obvious."

David just shrugged. He knew, but only because she told him. He didn't know it before.

"Hey guys come on, it's a party."

So David tried to forget and went back to his party.
