"Woojin? Why do you keep looking at the clock?"

"N-no reason." Woojin avoids eyecontact with his classmate Hyungseob, the nervous blinking he always does followed by his nonstop fidgeting.

"No reason?" He laughs a bit at his friends failed discretion "You've been checking your phone and looking at the clock since this morning, what's up with you?"

A small shake of the head by Woojin presses even more on Hyungseob's curiosity towards his friends current state, what was once a guy who barely checked his phone and always seemed to be the last updated on trends because of his low interest in social media, was now...checking his phone every minute? Like an actual teenager?

There was only one conclusion Hyungseob could make out of the current situation, one conclusion even he didn't want to admit because of how arbitrary it is for Woojin who's interests limited to studying and dancing, from school to the practice room then home, the never ending cycle of his that hasn't been tilted through the past years of their friendship.

"Did Woojin...get himself a girlfriend?" As soon as the words leaves his lips, he had to snicker because of the words 'girlfriend' and 'Woojin' that just seemed so out of place when put in one sentence together.

Silence.

The utter silence of Woojin.

Followed by the ringing of Woojin's phone and Chai's name popping up on his screen.

The two friends looked at eachother, one in disbelief, the other eyes filled with excitement by the incoming phone call.

Chairanghae? With a heart at the end?, Hyungseob thinks to himself still not recovering from the shock as Woojin kept speaking happily into the phone as if mocking Hyungseob for getting the answer he thought could never be right...ending up actually being...fucking right.

"No, i'm not doing anything for my birthday." Woojin says as he kept writing weird things on his notebook with a pen, a monkey with spiral blushed cheeks to be exact.

"Uhm-weren't we going somewhere with-"

"Yup nothing at all." Woojin signals for Hyungseob to zip it and his mouth falls in disbelief.

"With Dongsu, Hyunmin-"

"Yeah i'm sure, Chai-"

"AND HYUNGSEOBIE!"

Whack!

"What? No no, that's just a classmate making a ruckus," Woojin turns around, changing his position to slated style as Hyungseob pouts whilst holding his nose, injured by the paper plane Woojin threw at him "I do have friends-they just happened to be busy on that day...sto-why do you always bully me?"

Hyungseob leans back on his chair, a hand rests on his shoulder and he looks up at the two friends who went to buy food at the canteen for them.

The astonished yet slightly puzzled faces mirrored Hyungseobs as they take a long look at Woojin.

He was beaming, looking so carefree and in such good spirits, he was spouting jokes left and right and his expressions changed every second, and worst of all...he was being...cute.

"It's...actually happening?" Hyunmin mumbles softly, his grip tightening around the plastic bag of kimbap and drinks they bought.
