Soon it was coming close to dinner. I choose a short sleeve silk black dress and my wedges. I curled my hair into a ponytail. I put my makeup. I made sure the girls got fed and their two bed time stories and a special song. I wait for Kendall to come. Jacob was already ready. I heard a knock so I got up off the couch. I grab my phone.
"Jacob she here" I yelled I heard him running down the stairs. He was button up his shirt. I open the door to find a very noticeable pregnant girl.
"Hi Kendall" I hugged her.
"Thank you so much for babysitting on such short notice" I said.
"Hey it's no problem plus nick at a business trip" Kendall said. I nod and welcome her in.
"Well we better get going" Jacob sigh. I can't believe we are actually going to dinner to discuss about our future that no longer involved us together.
"Yeah have fun you two" Kendall said as we walked out.
"Yep" we mumble. Jacob open the car door for me to get in. I slid in and he closed the door. He ran to his side of the car and drove. We got to the restaurant. He shut off the car. No one moved.
"Well from now on our lives with change" he Said. I nod he got out and open the door for me. I got out and intertwined our hands. We walked in. We were in red lobsters. We walked up to the desk where you get a set at.
"How many" the person asked.
"Two please" Jacob said the lady nod and grab two menus. We follow her to a booth. We sat down and she handed us our menus. We ordered our drinks and she left.
"OK we better get started" he said I nodded.
"So how do we want to split up the custody of our kids" I asked him. I thought for a minute.
"Well what if you take one and I take one you know like the movie the parent trap" he said.
"Yeah but I do want to see my other daughter" I said.
"OK what if every two weeks we send the kids to each other places. So say I had Madeline and you have Madison
Every two weeks on the exact same day we put them on a plane Madeline goes to you and Madison comes to me and we switch off" he said.
"So you are saying they are never going to know that they have a twin" I asked. He nodded.
"That's going to be hard on us" I said.
"I know but it's better that way honest think about it that way we will always have a kid with us and it won't put too much stress on either of us. Plus that way we can still keep touch" he explained.
"OK so who are we getting" I asked.
"OK this is hard how about I get Madison and you get Madeline" he said.
"Fine but I better get to see my baby girl every two weeks or so help me I will personally jump on a plane and see my baby" I warned. The Waiter came back with our drinks.
"What would be" she asked.
"See food lover" I said.
"Same with me" Jacob said. She took our menus.
"So what's next" he asked.
"Um so what about now they are only infant they can't go by themselves or with someone until they are a little bit older" I said.
"What if we hold off on the plane stuff and stick to video chats. Then when they get one that's when we will start sending them" he said.
"One problem they can't go on a plane at one" I said.
"Then we will go with them" I said.
"What do you mean" he asked taking a sip.
"OK so say in two weeks I fly with Maddie to you and bring back Madeline" I said.
"That's not a bad idea and they can start flying on their own at the age of six years old" he said. I nodded.
"So we are really going to do this" I said.
"Yep we are" he said.
"OK now to talk about us" I said. The Waiter gave us our food.
"So are we getting a divorce" I asked.
"Well I think it might be better that way if we meet someone new it won't come in between us" he said.
"True I just want you to know I will always love you no matter what" I said.
"So do I" he said.
"What about school" I said " crap I forgot about that " I said.
"I don't want them homeschool but it looks like we are going to have to" he said. I nodded.
"Well I'm signed up them up for dance lessons" I said.
"So what are you saying" he said.
"I'm saying that I'm just signed them up" I said. We sat in silence for a minute just eating I think we both ran out things to talk about.
"So when are you leaving" I asked him putting a piece of shrimp in my mouth.
"Next week I already found a house" he said.
"Oh really what does it look like can you tell me" I asked.
"Well it's has three rooms a pool pretty much like our house expect with out the extra bedroom" he said.
"Oh cool yeah I'm thinking about moving" I said he looked at me.
"Wait why we had that house since we both turn eighteen" he said.
"Exactly we now it's just going to be me and I don't feel right being in that house without you" I said.
"Plus don't worry it's going to someone that we choose" I said he looked at me smiling.
"I already picked mine Mackenzie" he said.
"Wait really" I asked him continuing to eat.
"Yeah I mean she and Johnny are dating they are going to need their space plus I love your sister" he said. I nodded.
"Well at least that's done" he said.
"So anything else" I asked him.
"Nope I think that takes care of everything" he said.
"Well since we are still married and Kendall do has the kids let's go get a hotel room for the night" I said.
"Sounds fine to me" he said and we left.
