Chapter 4

Beam next; Violet's favourite event. Daisy hated beam; to be fair, everyone hated beam. Violet was different. Coach Mary gave them a list of skills that they had to stick on the beam at least twice. The skills were: a cartwheel, a backward walkover, a front walkover, a back handspring; an aerial; a half twist and then a dismount of their choice.
Violet wizard through them, however all the other girls struggled on the half twist; they were still learning. The coach told her to work on her routine for tomorrow's big competition. This didn't go too well; she fell on her half twist and took four huge steps on her dismount- a barani full twist. Therefore, she ran through it again; still, she couldn't get it perfect.

Vault went well; she stuck the landing on all of her skills. Daisy landed on her neck but luckily nothing happened to her; Violet couldn't imagine if anything happened to her the day before the competition.

Time for floor. She was in love with her floor choreography; it was to the pink panther. She had three tumbling passes: a round off double back handspring back tuck split jump. She always nailed that pass. The next one is a little bit trickier but not too hard; it is a front handspring straight front. And the final one was a round off back handspring double twist.

It was time for her to perform her routine in front of her group, coach Mary and the evil head coach: Coach Francis. Every training day, someone had to perform their routine: today it was Violet's turn...

So far so good; she had stuck all of her landings and only messed up on two skills. It was the big finish: the round off back handspring double twist. It was her time to shine in front of couch Francis.
Three...two...one...
