We all sit around the dining room table, underneath a beautiful, crystal chandelier.
All five brothers and I. At the same table, eating Nat's appetizing stew.
"So, where do your family live, (Y/n)?" Gareth asks.
This will be complicated to explain.
"My mother died years ago, and my father went missing. I was forced of take care of myself until I found a boyfr-"
Then I pause.
I remember Nathan.
Precious, saddening memories flood back into my mind.
"(Y/n)?? Are you alright? You aren't going to faint again, are you??" I hear Gareth ask.
"No. I'm fine. I just remembered...someone. That's all." I reply, my voice slightly fading.
"I'm so sorry about your mother, (Y/n)." Nat adds in quickly.
"It's fine. I got over her years ago." I say. Somehow, what I just said, sounds awfully familiar to me...
There was silence at the table after that.
"Ugh! I can't take this anymore!" Ace exclaims suddenly.
"Why the hell does there have to be silence every time she makes conversation?! We could be talking about all sorts of things, but no! Also why is she such a pain to look after?! If she never were here, we wouldn't have had to go through the trouble of rescuing her stupid ass earlier!"
"Ace! That's enough of your whining! Go to your room." Xavier shouts, almost too calmly at Ace.
I must say, Xavier does act like a father figure to the brothers. Or as Nat says, acts bossy.
I was hit quite hard by Ace's words once again. But.. I mustn't let it get to me! What he thinks of me is of no relevance to me! He is just some hot headed teenage boy... That I have to live with until I retire....
"(Y/n)...Don't listen to him! He has always been that way to all of us." Gareth says.
"Not exactly. Ace seems to be taking it out on (Y/n) more than anyone in this house." Xavier (unhelpfully) adds.
"Wow. Good job Xavier." Leo sarcastically whispers to Xavier.
"I see how it is." I say, rising up from the table. I quickly walk to my room where I have a good cry.
"I cannot spend the rest of my life cooped up in here with that brute Ace! I just can't!" I sob loudly.
If I stay here any longer, my life will most likely be put in danger as well. That man, Simon. He could come at any time, and slaughter me, or others.
I...Just can't stay!
I must leave!
"D-Damn you Ace. Look what you have done to me..." I mutter rather loudly.
I quickly grab my backpack that I got from the mall, with a few personal belongings in it.
I fling open the door.
Ace is standing before me.
"I heard what you said." He says.
