I'm finally in my maid dress. It's a perfect fit, coincidentally.
It's 8:50, and I head down to the kitchen, stopping to fix my headband in front of the mirror.
I can hardly recognize myself. I look like an otaku. (An anime fan girl.)
I sigh in the mirror, and continue down the stairs, where I meet Ace.
He stares at me, wide eyed, with a tint of blush on his cheeks.
"What?!" I raise my voice, obviously irritated. Now I am blushing with embarrassment.
Ace suddenly comes back to planet Earth.
"Um..NOTHING! I-I was just..er.. looking at how..n-nice your dress is..! But don't get the wrong idea..It's n-not like I like you or anything..Just giving a compliment.!"
He turns his face away in embarrassment.
"So..Are you going to be wearing that every day that you are working for us??" He asks, his eyes staring at me with curiosity.
"Unfortunately." I reply, my voice as rough as sandpaper.
"..C-Cool!" Ace pretends not to care, as he passes me by on the stairs. I can't help but feel eyes burn in the back of me. Especially my backside.
I drag myself to the kitchen where Gareth, Leo, Nat, and Xavier are sitting at the round table.
Nat literally spits out his tea, all over the floor in shock, as I walk into the room.
Great. What better way to start your job, with a bit of mopping up your 'Master's tea.
Xavier nods to me as if I'm mean't to say something.
"G-Good morning..Masters." I stutter, as I feel a trickle of sweat, make it's way down my neck.
Nat spits his tea out. Again.
For God's sake, get it together!
"DID SHE JUST CALL US MASTER..?!" Nat screams in horror.
"Yes. It is her job after all.." Remarks Xavier smugly.
"SO THIS IS YOUR DOING!!" Nat points at Xavier. "HOW DARE YOU FORCE MY POOR SWEETIE INTO DOING SUCH A THING?!"
Who is he calling 'sweetie '?!
Xavier ignores Nat as he continues to rant about "How I have womanly rights", and informs me of my duties today.
"You must first of all clean the dishes, mop the floor, hoover all the carpets in the mansion, make all the beds, cook the meals, clean the toilet, and basically do everything that involves cleaning." Says Xavier with authority.
"I understand...Master."
I still have to get used to saying that.
*****Timeskip brought to you by a stale piece of bread*****
I feel as I cannot breathe. My lungs are choking me with every breath. So far, I have rushed everywhere, mopping floors, watching dust bunnies trying to outrun my hoover, made all of the beds, and cleansed and dusted every corner of this damn house.
I also cleaned the toilets.
What a horrifying experience.
There is still one more job to do. That is to prepare a lunch for five.
Thing is...I have no idea how to cook.
