I sighed as I stared at the paper in front of me. I twirled the pen in my hand and just sat there. My mind was else where, but my body was here. Reality. It buzzed my mind and snipped at my thoughts.
I wasn't really my past self the past few days. I've been. . . how do you say it? Broken off from everyone? I don't really know. My mind was adrift and I barely paid attention. I think I may be catching a cold. I'm not sick, but I just felt so. . . numb. It's quite silly really. You're sick, but you're not.
"Yatamori?"
I snap out of my thoughts and look ahead, towards Sensei. "Yes, Sensei?"
"Are you feeling alright? You've been dazed these past few days."
I forced a small smile, "I'm fine, Sensei. I've just been thinking. Forgive me if I disrupted your teachings."
She frowned for a second before giving a slight nod, "you are forgiven. Just please try to pay attention. If this happens again I'll be forced to send you to the nurse."
I nodded in understanding, "of course, Sensei. It won't happen again."
She went back to talking and I couldn't help but feel two eyes boring holes into the back of my head.

"Ta-chan! Ta-chan! Let's go get some cake! We got a special chocolate cake today!"
I smiled at his enthusiasm, "I'll take a small piece today."
"Small? Are you not feeling good, Ta-chan?"
I ruffled his hair,"I'm fine. I've just been thinking of things. Don't worry about me. Now how about some cake?"
"Yay!"
I was dodging the questions every time I was asked. I couldn't help it. It was bothering me. How close it was. In fact, right now it was in August. Four months away from the wedding. It seemed like yesterday that's first met Kyoya and the proposal was made. It's been eight months since then.
And the bad part was that we only made it in the half acquaintance, half friend zone. Though I guess it's better than when we hated each other. But still. To be married to someone you don't remotely like...
Honey handed me a small slice of cake on an expensive plate and a fork along with it. He gave me a wide grin before he got himself a rather large slice.
I smiled and gave a small laugh. I couldn't help it. The older teen looked in heaven as he took a bite. I sat down at a couch that wasn't occupied by any hosts or customers and ate my slice of cake silently. This is usually how it usually went. I sat down where no one else was and waited for it to end. There was at least half an hour left until I could leave.
I just sat there for a few minutes before I became bored. Sighing, I stood up and made my way over to the vampire king himself.
"Anything new happen, Shadow King?" The words slid out of my mouth easily. I didn't have to force a conversation these days.
He rolled his eyes and typed away at his laptop. "Not of anything that creates concerns. Is the reason you are asking is because you are bored?"
I rest my head on his shoulder and look at the screen of the laptop. Links to different vacation spots littered the screen. "Maybe. Are we having another vacation?"
He hums,"yes. Tamaki thought we should, as he said, 'relax'."
"Relaxing sounds nice. I haven't had a full night's sleep in months. The buissness is slowly taking away my privilege to sleep. It's exhausting." With saying that, I stood back up and let out a small yawn, covering my mouth while doing so.
"Go to bed once we get back then."
"I have work. I can't."
"Then I'll do it. You need sleep."
"It's fine. It's not much. Once I get finished I'll eat, take a shower, then head to bed. Besides, it's just a small entry about the products the company provides. I swear."
Kyoya stopped typing for a moment and looked at me. His onyx eyes stared at mine.
"I'll give you two hours and then you're done, finished or not."
I crossed my arms, a small grin played on my lips. "I guess that's why they call you 'mommy', you care."
"Shut up."
I laughed. "Calm down, Kyo! I find it cute!"
I held my stomach as I let out a hearty laugh. The almost invisible pink hue on his face made me laugh harder. He scowled and went back to his laptop.
I suddenly stopped laughing as I remembered something.
"That reminds me. I ment to tell you this earlier, but I'm taking a trip to America for a week."
He turns to me once more. "America? What for?"
"Well before I came here I had went to a school in America. I have a few friends there and they asked me if I would speak to the students about 'the real world',"I say, making quotations with my fingers. "It's nothing much, just stuff about careers, responsibilities and what nots."
"Alone?"
"Well, you can come if you want. You can meet my American friends and see the school I went to for a year."
"I suppose. . ."
"Great! Our plane is tomorrow! And I also got you a ticket!"
"You got tickets already?"
"Yeah, I mean, even if you didn't want to go I would drag you. I'm not going by myself. Oh and by the way, the other hosts are coming as well!"
I smiled innocently as he gave me a blank stare. We stayed like that for a few seconds before he turned back around and closed off the website and back to the desktop screen.
"Don't you need that?"
"Not anymore. We're going to America."
"Yosh!"
"I can never understand you."
"Ha! What are you talking about? No one can understand me!"
"Apparently so."
"Oi. Why do I get the feeling that you are insulting me."
"Take a guess."
"Rude."

Edited: not happy with this one but it'll do, I guess.
