Chapter 5
"What?! I'm cursed?!" Ethan shouted.
"It's okay." Sophie gently comforted trying to calm him down.
"How is it gonna be okay?" Ethan asked.
They heard a knock on the door just then
"Hello? Everything doing okay in there?" Mom asked.
"What do we do?" Eddie whispered.
"Follow me." Sophie whispered back leading them to the secret room.
"What is this place?" Patricia quizzed.
"We just found this right before you came." Sophie answered.
"Where did Ethan go?" Eddie pointed out.
"Oh,he's right over-" Sophie turned to see that he wasn't next to her.
"That's weird he was right here." Sophie shared.
"Ethan's missing?" Eddie interrogated.
"We don't know that for sure. He'll turn up? ...Maybe?" Sophie suggested.
"Oh,yeah. That totally makes perfect sense." Patricia sarcastically commented.
"Ethan?!" Eddie called out. Sophie and Patricia joined,
"Ethan!!"
"Where do you think he went?" Sophie investigated.
"Gee,I don't know. Maybe to the movies." Eddie sarcastically answered.
All of a sudden,Ethan fell down from the ceiling.
"Ethan,what happened?" Sophie asked.
"I don't remember. The last thing I remember was hiding with you guys then everything went blank." Ethan answered.
"Let's get him outta here." Eddie demanded.
Sophie opened the door with her heart shaped locket Hathor gave her and Eddie and Patricia helped him out.
"Oh,there you guys are. What's wrong with Ethan." Mom voiced. Everyone forgot she was coming in.
"Nothing...he just felt a little lightheaded." Sophie lied.
~The next day~
"Sophie,sweetie breakfast is ready!" Mom called from downstais.
"Coming!" Sophie responded finishing up her makeup. She grabbed her backpack and swooned downstairs and out the door.
"Sophie,what about-" Mom began but got interrupted by the door slamming shut.
"I've never seen her so excited to go to school." Eddie commented.
~At school~
Sophie's walking and talking with her friends then one of them asked,
"Hey,what's with the heart mark on your shoulder?"
"Oh that? It's a long story but it gives me... a certain power. You know,how you guys always ask how I get boys to like me?"
Everyone murmured in 'yes's.
"Well,this mark helps me. Every time I walk by a cute guy,the mark charms him. That's how Ethan and I started to date." Sophie explained.
"So you never really loved him you just charmed him and he developed a huge crush on you?" Her friend verified.
"Yep." Sophie answered not knowing Ethan and Drake were listening.
