To be honest, Jimin likes Seulgi since the first time he saw her entered the library. He kept his eyes on her gestures. He compeletely forgot his business to read some books about contemporary dancing.
He saw her making a really short interraction with Jaebum which made his heart shrank. Jaebum is nowhere on his level. He's above him. Every girl likes him. He's very popular.
He always watches Seulgi like a complete creep. It's been three months to make sure there's nothing between Jaebum and Seulgi even though he somewhat knew that Jaebum likes her based on how he act everytime he met Seulgi.
He also knew that Seulgi (maybe) likes Jaebum..-all girls like Jaebum- but he must not lose to the team's captain.
