I opened my eyes to the bright sunlight. "Morning, sunshine." Dallas' voice said. I couldn't see him because the sun was still too bright. Soon my eyes adjusted and I saw him standing in the kitchen. I smelled burnt bacon.

"Were you trying to..." I couldn't finish my sentence. A sharp pain hit my shoulder and I fell to the floor. When I opened my eyes again I wasn't in the same room. I was in a dark cabin. "Okay, I would just like to say goodbye, Thomas." I turned around and was surprised by who I saw. It was the guy we met last night, Adam. I started scurrying to get away then I heard a gunshot and pain shot through my other shoulder. I let out a loud scream, but it wasn't mine. It was a male scream. "But I'm 18!" He screamed.

"Sorry, fella. Its 11:59. Your time is up." Then he raised the gun to my head. I opened my eyes to a worried looking Dallas and Alex.

"What the hell just happened?" Dallas begged.

"You were saying something to him then you collapsed to the floor screaming." Alex explained.

"He's dead." I whispered. I knew that I was watching through the other unborn's eyes. Adam was a hunter, but he wasn't my hunter. That's why he didn't go after me.

"Who's dead?" Dallas asked interrupting my thoughts.

"Thomas. The other unborn. Adam was the hunter." I said in a daze.

"No way. Are you sure you weren't imagining it? If so, why didn't he come after you?"

"Because he's not my hunter! Please tell me you didn't tell Josh anything about me."

"I didn't. Wait, are you accusing Josh of being your hunter."

"Alex, we can't be too..."

"Shut up, Dallas! You got what you want. Can I not have my happiness."

"Alex, you know I didn't..."

"Whatever!" Alex yelled and ran out the door. Dallas looked at me and before he could say anything I ran out of the room following Alex. "Alex!" I screamed when we got outside. He started running away, but I started running after him, it was a good thing I was faster. I ran and tackled him to the ground. "You're getting better." I said. He sat up and pushed me off of him. "You know that is not what Dallas meant."

"It's exactly what he meant."

"Alex! You know you are like a brother to him and he would never want to take away your happiness."

"You're forgetting on thing."

"What?"

"He's a demon!"

"But he's a bad one. He had feelings." I made a funny face when I said feelings and Alex tried to hide his chuckle. "You know he would never in a million years want to hurt you." I said and pulled him into a hug. I felt another pair of arms wrap around my stomach and pull. I looked back and was actually surprised. We had been debating, but I actually thought it wasn't him. Alex didn't move from his spot and nobody else moved as Josh ripped me away from Alex and down the street. "No!" I screamed, but he put a rag over my face and I blacked out.

Snow pulled me into a hug then she was gone. I stood up. "Snow!" I yelled trying to make out if this was a joke. I ran back to the hotel and to Dallas. I knew what was wrong. They were right. Last night Josh got a few drinks in me and I told him about freezing time with the amulet he wore around his neck. He just thinks I'm a wizard or warlock, but he now knew how to do it and I knew he took her. I burst through the door and tried to explain everything to Dallas. I was in tears and could hardly breathe. When I was finished he just sat me down. "I need one of your feathers." He explained. That he was going to make a mix that would let us know the location of Snow. I tried my hardest and pushed my wings out. I could see them and so could he. He reached over and plucked one out. "Ouch!" I screamed. He looked at me as if telling me to be quiet. He stood up and walked into the bathroom he came back out with one of Snow's hairs. The red was still shimmering. He wrapped the hair around my feather and closed his eyes. I saw his horns come out of his head and he reached up and somehow pulled fire from them. He held the fire under the feather and I flinched when it caught. He put the fire back where he got it and his horns vanished. He closed his eyes and started mumbling something that I couldn't understand. I watched as the feather and the hair burned down to his fingers. Even then he didn't flinch. How was he not getting burnt? The fire was burning his fingers and the feather was gone. He closed his fist and the flames went out. He grabbed a jacket and threw it at me. "It'll be a long walk." He said as we left the room.

I opened my eyes to the back cabin I just saw this morning. Adam was leaning back in a chair looking at his hand. Josh was nowhere to be seen. "Finally! Josh!" Adam screamed when he saw me awake. I tried to move away, but chains were around me. Josh walked in and looked at me. "The chains are there until we find a way to kill you." He said.

"Use a bullet." I said and looked at Adam.

"An actual future unborn." He said.
